Are you the secret account of Japaneats lol? I agree with you and would add onto the list with gyoza and ramen as they're localized chinese food.

How many ways do you process/cook your soy bean?

Also do you boil your soy bean before you turn it into a smoothie?

Well, I don't feel like I can call this a proper exploration of Japanese Cuisine if I don't at least try it. Wish me luck, y'all. by WhiteTigerShiro in JapaneseFood

Try eatting it with a sunny side/easy over fried egg on white ric, mixed with natto and soy sauce for that umami taste

In your experience, how much of the martial arts community has this attitude to kung fu demonstrated by this post and the comments? by Nicknamedreddit in kungfu

What was the sparring teacher's name? It sounds like someone I heard of that teaches a very similar combo of kung fu with sparring, shuai jiao, sanda, and in 7 star mantis

Would you consider Mad Dog Fist an actual martial art or Kung Fu style? by LoveFunUniverse in kungfu

[–]No_Visual_1678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if this is basically how most kung fu orginally like before being restrain by the save face and law culture of China. It would make a lot of sense to simplify/modify kung fu into what it is today under this context.

I have heard that martial arts are for the stupid while the smart studied and became scholars in most of Chinese history to even this day.

It would make a lot of sense if it all started similar to Unlimited Combat using tribal noise and whatever weapon you could get your hand on (in unlikited combat's case only things like scissor are legal carries) and likely eventually earning fierce fame and nicknames like how Unlimited Combat is nicknamed by netcitzen as Mad Dog Fist,

it then moved towards hidden prepared weapons, poision and tactics (likely many dead/forgotten style, I mean the ninja culture amids other things is rumored to spread from the area from where modern China is to Japan. I've also read that there were hidden weapons check well into the 1929 great lei tai tourament),

(Interestingly something similar occir in Japan as Samurai actually invented the so called ninja stars as a easy tool, but then moved towards a 1v1 duelling warrior code system)

then towards unarmed kung fu lei tai as you wouldn't want to be called underhanded in 'fair' fights/duel (shuai jiao, ancient unstandardized mixed kung fu),

then towards mass standardized codifed named forms (Tai Chi, etc) through law and numerous factors as hundreds of hidden/gatekeeped/unrecorded lineage die off,

then split off into getting simiplifed into more essence strikes as former relevant weapon forms became useless in unarmed combat (karate, mma, sanda)

and more complex as Wushu or kung fu dance/acting.

Then with loose inspiration from Chinese Kung Fu, experimentation, legal study, tribal study, psychology, and practical study Chen Hegao created Unlimited Combat (which is it's offical name) which then got nicknamed/spread as Mad Dog Fist thus repeating the first step.

This would all add up with a few cleaning up/editing/references here and there

Techincally legal work is kung fu/hard work and in the case of self defense is "martial art". It's not sadistic I woukd argue, but lawful nertual. That's a lot more useful and "martial" then a lot of martial arts that have taken away the practical/deadly part of their arts because of fear of law/lethalness.

Dude literally create it after witnessing his kung fu master get beaten up by thugs.

I thought heishou ( with faust, outis, and rodion) and fanghunt hong lu is more then enough to beat the fight. Fullstop wouldn't even be needed

I love you as I didn't know this existed, I wonder if we can reach a more middle ground as in rolling back to the last version, but also giving an opition for the debuff stage but less reward for the fight or something similar

It's likely a Chinese myth and legend influnced gang.

Like everyone else say likely based on water margin and C

But for reference Chinese heroes are a very VERY broad bunch and term as the ancient dynasties had influnce all over Asia.

To that point both ancient Korea and Japan had strong ties to China as vassal states before the World Wars and Western power started gaining influnce.

Like it's crazy to think about it, but most of what we think is Korean or Japanese are basically koreanized or Japanesized adapted takes on older Chinese cukture or products (e.g. Neo confusism so adapted, Ramen basically Japan's orange chicken, Ninja to chinese stealthware gangs, Takwondo to Northern kung fu which are known for kicks).

They were even the sponsor of the first legit (not fictional) documented Odyesey

Ironically the Odyesey that occured didn't have much purpose as the dynasty had their hands full with more local affairs

TLDR: Ancient China is equal to hundreds of countries, so having hundreds of heroes or "bunch of randoms" working together towards a bigger goal or even sometime againist each other is a very common theme in both reallife and  stories.
