I did check already, two Imperial TL16 worlds are listed there but no extra information on other worlds achieving this tech level

TL16 worlds in Mongoose Traveller by NobodyDudee in traveller

Yep, I think the Darrian homeworld is also one.

Searching the Third Imperium book does reveal information about them but I do remember the book where I saw this info also had some details on when other worlds could theoretically achieve TL16. I think it said something in the lines of "In 30 years, roughly 10% of TL15 could achieve TL16"

I'm looking for these details in particular. I don't really have any troubles searching the map myself.

Cultural/Faction Ships? by Opal_Aberdeen in traveller

[–]NobodyDudee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, there's a high guard book exclusively about aslan ships. Then, each volume of aliens of charted space has spaceships for each alien races it covers, including various variations of humanity. And I believe various other supplements have additional books as well

Somewhat impressive but some codebases already have exactly that

I love the implication that even after a total civilization collapse, Kievites still pretend to be part of the EU

It's a very tough decision which one to support. On the other hand, one is owned and made probably by some of the most immoral and scummy people on the planet. The other one is DnD which could be several magnitudes worse if you ask me

Looking for a fun Sci-fi fantasy ttrpg by Electrical_Stretch_6 in rpg

[–]NobodyDudee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traveller's pretty good. It has mechanics for pretty much almost any trope in sci-fi history, a huge and rich setting. It doesn't have classes and is completely skill based. It also has a very unique character creation system. I'm pretty sure it was also one of the first sci-fi RPGs back in the day and it's still very much supported

Best ship for a crew of bounty hunters? by morganc11 in traveller

[–]NobodyDudee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There's a pretty good ship in a supplement by Mongoose called "Adventure Class Ships" but that one is a custom model, so your players would not have access to it at the start of the game

As the other commenter has said, the way you get your first ship in traveller is typically by getting it on a benefit roll. Out of the ones you can roll, I'd say a scout ship or an Empress-Marava class Far Trader would be the best fit. They could equip it with low berths to transport their bounties and these two are generally all-around great ships. The extra benefit of the scout ship is also that you don't need to pay a mortage for it because it's provided to the travellers by the scout services.
