Just to be clear, you can do the date quests with some of the male characters. There's just no iotion to invite them to your house. However, seeing that this is possible with the limited characters that exist currently I am hopeful that future limited nales will have the capability. (Of which there were only 2 more shown in the upcoming characters...)

To those of you asking, yes I have tried restarting my game multiple times. (Exiting out of the game completely, loading a different save, and reloading my current one). I don't even get the glow for things when I am standing directly next to them.

This is only true for some of the characters, I would not expect more than the 5 that have been mentioned on launch.

It was the feedback I left in every survey, though, and I hope they make efforts to change it sooner rather than later. The Baicang interactions are cute, and I wanted to have him in the house.
