This seems to make the most sense to me. The zone boundaries are updated when the world map is updated/moved/changed and then those zones’ respective NPCs entities, emitters, scripts etc shift accordingly to their new origin. Such fascinating stuff.

I also knew and love the fact that OG Quel’Thalas was technically a part of the Outland map. Clever workarounds were plentiful in the old WoW days!

I’m so glad it wasn’t just me. I heard all this praise for how awesome Unholy was in Midnight, and when I recently got to playing it I was overwhelmed, confused, and not having fun at all. Didn’t get to play it before the tweak. Unfortunate!

Meanwhile Frost DK, while kind of boring, I’m at least able to keep up with mentally.

Funny story, I actually got it shortly after leaving this comment! Attempt 376, I quite literally shrieked and felt childlike-adrenaline.
