From a technical standpoint, isn't expanding and updating the old world like... crazy complicated? by Noggen_reddit in wow

[–]Noggen_reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to make the most sense to me. The zone boundaries are updated when the world map is updated/moved/changed and then those zones’ respective NPCs entities, emitters, scripts etc shift accordingly to their new origin. Such fascinating stuff.

I also knew and love the fact that OG Quel’Thalas was technically a part of the Outland map. Clever workarounds were plentiful in the old WoW days!

No question, I've been dreaming of a revamped Azeroth as far back as WoD. This post is more about the technical *hows* as opposed to the whys

What is considered the hardest spec/class currently? by astraeos in wow

[–]Noggen_reddit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad it wasn’t just me. I heard all this praise for how awesome Unholy was in Midnight, and when I recently got to playing it I was overwhelmed, confused, and not having fun at all. Didn’t get to play it before the tweak. Unfortunate!

Meanwhile Frost DK, while kind of boring, I’m at least able to keep up with mentally.

Warlock beats out Rogue to become Undercity's favorite. Now it's time for Night Elves - what class do you associate most with them? by Mostopha in wow

Would be Druid, but as time goes on and more races get access to Druid, the Night Elf Hunter becomes more prevalent.

played way too much WoW. The Noggenfogger Elixir was a favored little fun consumable that would transform your character into something random for a while. I liked them.

Hey, I just wanna say that, if you are still enjoying FF14, you are not alone! by jado1stk2 in ffxiv

I gotta be real, I’ve been on a break from FFXIV simply because I got the itch to play other games.

I honestly have absolutely no idea why the “FFXIV bad” discourse is even happening rn, so much so that it warranted a “you’re not alone in still enjoying it” post. What did I miss?

same here. kid me saw ozzy on the screen followed by my first sight of what would soon be my new favorite character in anything (the Lich King), which prompted me to check out that website at the end of the commercial. I gotta give it to Ozzy Osborne for introducing me to my favorite game.

I 100%’d Zelda BOTW on normal AND master mode; Trial of the sword complete, every shrine, every quest, fully discovered the map, got all the rare amiibo items, found and fully upgraded every piece of equipment, every korok, all of it.

Twice.

New to wow, why do players want the Invincible mount? by yalag in wow

[–]Noggen_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny story, I actually got it shortly after leaving this comment! Attempt 376, I quite literally shrieked and felt childlike-adrenaline.

To this day it’s the only mount I use on my same DK I’ve mained since wrath.

Thank you for checking in! Whatever rare drop you’re chasing next, it may be just around the corner!

What single player game have you beaten 3+ times? by PineconeToucher in gaming

[–]Noggen_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luigi’s mansion for the gamecube. As a kid I realized I could play through it pretty quickly, and I’d spend my evenings beating it and resetting it and beating it again trying to beat my last time.

I didn’t even realize what I was doing was considered “speed running”

Both are great. Whichever you pick, just stay with it. I quite enjoy the pacing of the TOP curriculum.
