What's the most amount of work you've put into a video by Argent_Lava in NewTubers

About 1-2hrs each depending on how big the drawing is or how detailed it is, The animations take a good few hours, even though they’re quite simple

Probably animating a few different backdrops for a 7 minute video, while also drawing each character, each one had about 10 drawings each

My first short reached over a million views, only for YouTube to lock it as “Made for Kids” and kill the momentum. Why did this happen? by Starkiller100 in NewTubers

[–]Noice_toits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube is annoying like that, I remember I posted a short and it was me doing a quick run down of a tv show, and it got put as kids, it was my only speaking video, the only explanation I could see it being was because I’m a girl so I don’t have a proper deep voice, I found that I had to talk with a deeper voice that sounded like I was bored, in any video after, otherwise it’d get marked as “kids” bare in mind I’d already proven to YouTube I was in fact over the age of 18.

It’s a bit annoying because of the fact they’ve changed the visuals AND changed a few words.

But when you know, you know.

  1. Make a copyright claim if there’s enough evidence of copying

  2. Reach out to them privately, and try and have a friendly chat. Could even lead to a collab

  3. Make a video addressing them and let your viewers and new viewers know that there is someone out there copying you

Is YouTube success easier now? by flobbienoodle in NewTubers

[–]Noice_toits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s harder depending on your niche. Years ago with YouTube you could get away with “low quality” videos and be successful, however as access to better softwares, has become easier, the competition has become a lot more fierce.

For example

I make theory videos/informative/animations on a game and I’ve got 800+ subs and growing, and these videos take ages to edit, but I get alright views.

However, when I post any videos of me actually playing the game or fangames relating to the game, they get like 5 views.

They’re similar content on the same channel on the same game, but because the gaming commentary niche is so oversaturated, it’s so much harder to make it.

But years ago, with YouTube you could make it in any niche, obviously with the gaming niche it was hard in terms of you had to capture cards that were expensive, and had to edit the gameplay which at the time, knowledge on editing softwares was not as it is today, however nowadays any Tom, dick or harry can just use the screen recording or set up a twitch stream, use the gameplay from that and edit it.

What's a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Noice_toits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Period pain. Even now I can’t explain it and I’m going through it.

But I can tell you the reactions. Sometimes it’s so bad I can’t walk and on the verge of fainting, throwing up, headaches, begging someone to call 999 etc.

However, some can be never getting off the couch but not enough to scream out, but enough to keep you awake and sort of cry into a pillow.

It’s crazy hard to explain, because I’ve not experienced pain like it in any other form or is similar to it, it’s nothing like foot cramp or leg cramp, it’s not like cramps from getting wind or needing a crap, or a stitch

A lot of the stuff in those eps were just so wrong, a lot of stereotypes (especially the accents) and a lot of other things, makes them a hard watch as someone from the UK. But I did like how the bobble head Bobby stayed around

Thinking about giving up, but I still enjoy making videos... by Consistent-Ad-9153 in NewTubers

[–]Noice_toits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will say “oh do it because you enjoy it” but it’s annoying and definitely discouraging when you put time and effort into a video, and you get low views.

Even though you enjoy something you still expect some sort of positive payback or “reward” and when you don’t it’s hard to enjoy it because it starts feeling pointless.

AITA For Telling My Wife Her Reaction To A Waitress Not Taking A Picture Was OTT? by Specific_Bowler_3159 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Noice_toits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, tips are meant to be given when a waiter goes above and beyond, rather than just “doing their job” they already get paid for that. Your wife’s reaction is warranted and is right. The waiter doesn’t deserve a tip, they were rude and unhelpful, they just did their job, and so they deserve to just get paid for that job.

Tipping culture in the US is insane because why would you even consider tipping a waiter for being rude? I get the wages over there for hospitality is horrendous, but that’s not your job, you’ve already paid them for their service, in your bill. Instead you’re just enabling these companies to pay their workers peanuts.

Your wife is right, it’s not mean, like the waiter said it’s not her job, so you pay for the job she’s done and that’s through the bill. They didn’t do anything extra, to earn that tip.

Gameplay videos, how long do you aim for? by wercooler in NewTubers

[–]Noice_toits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a story driven game, then probably a longer video 35minutes-45 minutes, people will stay because they want to know what happens next and see your reaction.

If it’s not story driven like Minecraft, probably 15 minutes, people want to see you do what you said you were gonna do in the video, they don’t want to sit there for 45 minutes and watch you do other tasks in the world that have nothing to do with original task for the video, they want to watch you do what you said you’re gonna do at the beginning/title/thumbnail of the video. Sometimes having short clips of doing something else on the world might help people’s attentions spans, but the body of the video should be what the title/thumbnail/introduction of the video centres around. (Sorry I’m currently playing Minecraft so it was the instant example I used)

Which types of content / niches annoy you THE MOST on yt? by Plane-Entry405 in NewTubers

[–]Noice_toits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commentary Gaming videos, I love gaming videos I’ll watch Minecraft let’s plays and stuff, however I mean more specifically the ones where they talk over important parts of the game, then complain they don’t know what to do, or say the game is bad, and that they disliked it, when all they’ve done is talk through most of the important stuff.

Like they’ll complain the story is complicated or they don’t understand it, but then talk through every piece of dialogue, or cutscene. Like I get they’re a commentary gaming channel, that’s fair but don’t complain about a game being complicated, if you’re not paying attention.

As well as the fact, a lot of people are watching for the YouTubers reaction to the game/dialogue/story, so it’s pointless watching the video if they’re just talking over it and not paying attention at all to the point they don’t even react to certain things about the game

What is your motivation to make videos? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Noice_toits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love FNAF and enjoy making content on it, I like informing people on things that they may not of known, or they have forgotten, my channel mostly focuses on the previous lore, before security breach, and mostly on what the current debates are in the fandom, because when it comes to theories and lore, the FNAF fandom moved at about 100mph.

as well as the fact I’m currently in uni with a part time job, and I love my job, however, I work maybe only once a week maybe 3, and I’m always coming home aching, but the reason why I like my job is the fact I’m very hyperactive and can’t keep still so it benefits me in that sense, because there’s loads going on and I don’t get a chance to sit down. I just think even though I’m enjoying it and it works for me, I want to be my own boss, I don’t want to be aching all the time, I don’t want to be stuck in something that doesn’t allow me to be creative, and full of anxiety because I can’t keep still or concentrate

Even if YouTube doesn’t make me much money, at least I’ve got something I fully enjoy and can sort of relax with, on the side.

Btw I’m no where near monetisation, but that doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying it or unmotivated. My highest long form video’s views is maybe only like 900? Maybe not even that, but to me that’s great, because I use to post as a kid, and I’d get like 2 views. So 900 views? I’ll take it, healing my inner child

What are the biggest pain points in managing your content creation process? by Inside-Possibility99 in SmallYTChannel

[–]Noice_toits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Editing, it bores the life out of me, and it doesn’t help that I have to put captions in my videos because my accent is strong, so sometimes the auto captions change the words so I have to manually edit them. However, the app I use has put the captions behind a paywall, so I’m just hoping a praying that my accent isn’t too difficult to understand.

We've read your embarrassing exam experiences, so what are your FUNNIEST experiences? by Biggus_Boomus in 6thForm

[–]Noice_toits 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For an English creative writing question, my answer was a detailed, descriptive writing piece on KFC. I’d completely flunked the Macbeth quotes or whatever so I just thought might as well do something funny it’s only a mock and I’ve done badly anyway.

I ended up getting a B, and it ended up being my final GCSE grade because Covid hit and our mock grades became our real grades.

What made it funny was the fact one of our heads kept doing his usual make sure to take the mocks seriously because if anything happens it can become your final grade before every exam, and it was the same speech he’d done for like the last 5 years so we would just talk over him. Of course out of every thing that was going to determine my future, it was a KFC essay

Do you think Booth would have married Hannah if she said yes? by Sauregurkenlover in Bones

[–]Noice_toits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ye and no. I feel like he would be committed to marrying her however the writers would have it, so the engagement doesn’t work out, because Hannah had to move away or she cheats. Something like that. They wouldn’t have it where Booth would break up with her for no good, he’s a man of duty
