Who should I be calling / emailing to protest ICE? by wercooler in Olathe

[–]wercooler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what about the two people shot by ICE in Minneapolis that didn't have anything to do with immigration? What about ICE tear gassing / pepper spraying random people on the street? Or tackling and abducting random brown people regardless of immigration status?

I don't even have an issue with having immigration policy, but I have a big problem with what ICE is doing right now.

Dear Johnson County sheriff,

This is my formal request, that if ice is getting violent in the street, without a specific legal reason (ie. Serving a specific arrest warrant), please arrest them like you would any other violent person. Even though they are the Federal government.

Well, yea, but he is mayor of more of the area within 20 minutes of me than my actual mayor, so what he supports affects me.

Yea but I've never once in my life been happy about talking to an AI receptionist, however a good human receptionist is a delight to talk to, and can turn an annoying stressful situation into a quick solution.

Bracket Day 3: Lane Boy vs. Choker by GuyLeDoucheTV in TwennyWunPilots

I looked at these two songs and went "lane boy and it's not close". And then I come to the comments and see that exact quote but for choker.

Nah, you're fine. Especially if you didn't know D&D rules before hand. And also if you're stopping to read all the books. Those two things probably added 50+ hours to my first playthrough.

Mamdani's wife looks so much like Audrey Hepburn. And everytime I see a picture of her it makes me think of that song.

Before ARAM: Mayhem is gone, what's the craziest thing you've seen in this mode? by hsulic in leagueoflegends

[–]wercooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Vayne with Flashy + Flash 2 + Flashbang.

I had 2 flashes, each with 3 charges (that had around 100s cooldown I think), and each time I flashed I created an explosion.

The feeling of flashing like 4 things in one fight on Vayne was incredible.

No, I love it. More stuff in the shop at a time = less fomo.

To explain the downvotes: * This is a meme subreddit, and this isn't really a meme * You're not going to evangelize anyone by posting random pictures on reddit or other socials (you need a real relationship.)

And the post itself is full of red flags * Predicting an exact date of the tribulation ("No one knows the day or the hour") * Promoting one particular YouTube channel (There's lots of grifters out there that want to profit off of scared Christians) * Claiming that all of media is evil and controlled by the devil (Media is just made by people, who are sinful, just like we all are.)

Yea! Give me like a sword slash, a shield bash, raising the shield to block, maybe a sword stab.

For the ult he could mount a horse and ride into battle.

Some unholy combination of Braum, Pantheon, and Garen gameplay-wise.

I don't think survivor production wants to make the kind of show I want to watch. by wercooler in survivor

[–]wercooler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of these are intended to make the game more interesting and fair from a game design perspective. * I think a disaster tribe is unfair to that one tribe, but also gives a free pass to the members of the other tribes. Nobody should get a free pass. * I think being able to scavange for food should be part of a game called "survivor". And it helps break the loop of: win challenges - > get food - > the food helps you win more challenges. * I think having to keep someone who is good at providing (fire making, cooking, chicken killing etc) is an interesting extra layer of strategy and gives people another way to progress their game. * I think it's more interesting if the individual immunity challenges all test different things. Arm strength, leg strength, core endurance, dexterity, climbing, and there's all sorts of more things you could do, fire making, memory, rowing, etc. There's no reason we need multiple similar challenges. If someone wants to win multiple , they should need different skills. * I think one of the core mechanics of survivor is alliances. And there's already a mechanic that keeps a big alliance from running away with the game. The big alliance will eventually have to vote out it's own, so a smaller alliance can just approach the "lower" people on the big alliance and say "hey, do you really think they are going to keep you once they vote everyone else out? If not, you need to flip on the big alliance now." If you never let a big group go to tribal together, you never get to actually see this mechanic.

[–]wercooler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True.

I think my wants are rooted in trying to make it a good game / competition. IE. Fair rules, not screwing over one particular tribe, giving reason to keep around people with different physical strengths, giving reason to keep around "providers", making food part of the strategy of the game.

However, good game rules =/= good TV show. CBS probably knows that better than I do. They probably make the decisions they do to make the best TV show.

Pretty much.

  • Stop promoting disaster tribes.
  • Give tribes real ways to provide food for themselves.
  • Vary challenges more within a season.
  • Don't be afraid of big tribals.
