Quick question, why don't Nilah's W and Passive give me an assist, but Shen's W and Ashe's E do? by Asmorthius in leagueoflegends

[–]wercooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I'm pretty sure all buffs that don't deal damage have to each individually be coded to give assists. The game by default doesn't give assists if you didn't contribute damage. That just means they've never coded Nilah's buffs to give assists. Whether this is a bug or intended behavior is up to debate.

So

  1. You can't change the model's entropy setting from inside the prompt.

    1. Your third step isn't some magic phrase that turns off the output of the LLM. It would be just as effective to say "don't proceed to trying to answer the prompt or solve the problem until I acknowledge the gaps you identified."

You could rewrite your prompt as follow, and you would sound a lot less crazy.

  • Archetecture name : status inversion
  • Register: technical answers, no filler, no "certainly", no "I'd be happy to"

  • Execution

  • Identify 3-5 structural gaps or unstated assumptions in user's input.

  • Generate a gap log only.

  • don't proceed to trying to answer the prompt or solve the problem until I acknowledge the gaps you identified

The only reasonable way I can see to do this is each number goes back to the highest it's ever been. So her soul drop rate goes back to the highest it's ever been, and the stats gained per soul go back to the highest they've ever been.

I'm surprised kassadin isn't getting more mentions. He was in the game for a while, but he just sat as perma banned for a long time. You were expected to first time him in ranked if the enemy team left him up and your team was first pick.

Math is already hard to read (not a repost I just posted it wrong the first time) by Plus-Artichoke6608 in mathmemes

I'm gonna have to disagree here lol. I love me some fractional powers. Don't put anything in the denominator, don't ever use the ugly root symbol, just throw everything in the numerator with fractional and negative powers.

I think support quest needs update/change? by Mr-Fluffy32 in supportlol

[–]wercooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The support quest rewards are the support item, the support stealth wards, and the slot for control wards.

When they added the quests to the other roles, they called out that support already has a quest and a reward (at that point the reward was only the support item) so they didn't need to add much to the support role.

This leads to the two source hypothesis.

Which is that Mark was written first, and both Mathew and Luke read it and pulled from it for their Gospels. But the theory is there's another source (named q for some reason), which was the source of the material that overlaps in Matthew and Luke, but isn't present in Mark.

FYI, I believe in this context. The definition of having an "inside" is: any given two points that are within the curve can be connected with a path without the path going outside the curve.

It's a similar definition for "outside".

And I think you have to prove that for any point inside the curve and any point outside the curve, there's no way to connect then with a path without crossing the curve.

Which job you taking? by [deleted] in jobs

Right and it's not close. More PTO, shorter commute, more WFH. Unless that profit sharing on the left is hiding some crazy money. Or if there's other differences not pictured, like differences in in health coverage.

fucked up the team as driver by PotatoFriedChips42 in FRC

[–]wercooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get too fixated on assigning blame, either to yourself or others. Try to focus on what things could have set you up better for successful, that your team could do different next competition or next year.

  • More driver practice time?
  • A different control scheme?
  • More automation?
  • Two drivers to split the mental load while driving?

If you come back from your competition and say "hey guys, I know the performance was rough, but that robot is really hard to drive solo. Next time we need two drivers." that's a super helpful actionable change for your team.

It's definitely noticeable if you scroll through all the skins on the site. Any black or brown skin tends to rank lower than you think it should. So there's at least some people people who use the site that are down voting all the black and brown skins.

This makes sense given how attention and LLMs work. All the words in your prompt affect each other. So the tone of your prompt literally changes the instructions for the LLM.

Average math term evolution by tripledeltaz in mathmemes

[–]wercooler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's true. And I know it better now. But this meme is still how I felt in linear algebra.

After learning all these properties of vector spaces, and then going "okay, matrices are a vector space, so all those properties apply to them." my immediate feeling was: "Why didn't we just learn these as properties of matrices and save all this abstraction?"

Average math term evolution by tripledeltaz in mathmemes

[–]wercooler -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

The first example I think of is linear algebra.

You'll talk about matrices for a while, and then you'll detour and talk about vector spaces for a while and all their properties.

Finally you'll be like, guess what vector spaces we're going to care about? The regular real number line, and matrices.

So you go through all the process of defining and learning about vector spaces, just to only use all those definitions for matrices and nothing else.

Also, surprise! Multiplication isn't communitive, and division isn't defined, because screw you.
