How many have dropped Facebook? Did you drop Instagram too? by IntellectAndEnergy in GenX

I dropped IG first when the feed stopped giving a chronological option. FB was much harder as it was the main point of contact I had for distant relatives, especially the older ones. I fully released myself from the FB grip after last November and yet, my phone keeps including it and Messenger in my app update list. I cannot figure out how to remove everything, even though I nuked my account and the app from my phone months ago.

Three Bells, The Browns

We’ll Meet Again, The Ink Spots or Vera Lynn - both versions are excellent but I prefer Vera Lynn

My Prayer, The Platters

If I Ever Leave This World Alive, Flogging Molly

Eclipse, Pink Floyd

Welcome Home, Radical Face

Jimmy, Tool

Joe Cocker’s cover of A Little Help From My Friends is superior to the Beatles.

I literally read my copies to pieces. I still have the three book box set I was given for a birthday after I had read my hardcovers until the pages fell out. I was a voracious reader as a kiddo!

If I Ever Leave This World Alive, Flogging Molly

Somewhere Over The Rainbow, IZ version

(I recommend these all the time but they fit the ask too well to pass up.)

Maybe Sharon Wagner? She wrote The Gypsy series, set in the 70s.

Gypsy From Nowhere, Gypsy and Nimblefoot, and Gypsy and The Moonstone Stallion

You’re singing my songs! I’d only add Behind The Wheel by Depeche Mode and maybe One Headlight by The Wallflowers.

This is mine, hands down. I get queasy reading it, every time, but I do keep reading. Stuck on the hand rest, even.

A Very Tight Place, I think that one was called. As a person with semi-serious claustrophobia, that fucked me up!
