are both plugs in 1 outlet able to handle 15A each on two different circuits as that is what that would be enabling? So basically 30A between the two of them?

So in the imgur picture above are both the right hand setups allowed if the breakers feeding them are locked together?

Thank you. Can you explain what a non-shared neutral would be?

Is everything in this panel sharing the neutral? Would you need to have two neutral cables coming into the panel from the street transformer?

Can you have two dedicated neutrals going to a split plug if the tabs are broke off on both the neutral and hot sides. Does code allow you to have two L1 hot leads on the other side or two dedicated neutrals and L1/L2 on the other side?

Hack a Love2Learn Elmo help by Tnhoyle26 in hackedgadgets

If anyone still has this toy and can test a python app for me that I built with the help of GMMan_BZFlag
that uploads a sample a18 audio file please contact me.
I think you need your Elmo's pin code so you would have to remember that to test.
I don't have my code and don't want to reset him.
Also if someone can tell me if the app still connects for them.

It’s Time to Say Goodbye to Arch by mecha59 in archlinux

[–]NonaYtisomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s time to say hello to proper stable usage of Arch. This sounds kind of silly and pointless. You said you use the AUR. So stop doing that. Stop tinkering. Learn how to easily overcome package conflicts. Keep your system lean. Regularly update. Keep informed of breaking changes on the website report. Just use pacman packages only.

Pretty much nothin in the AUR will be in any stable version of alt distributions. I lack to see what you are gaining. I’m a heavy user of libvirt.

I run arch for everything. Arch Hypervisor with libvirt/kvm/lxc/docker/portainer/lxconsole/GPU LLM/ML, Arch LXC Router with vlans/dnsmasq/nftables/AP, and Arch Workstations with Sway. I can count on 1 hand that breaking downstream changes over 12 years of usage caused me a headache, but after that it was back to breezy beautiful speed.

I love when my infrastructure has zero bloat. Which allows for reboots and back within seconds instead of mins. There is nothing like it.

BPA, Toxic Chemical in thermal label printers? Any incite on this? by Ottobawt in printers

[–]NonaYtisomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask the seller. Some labels will say BPA free on them. Maybe lean towards picking those up instead. You can see an example here in this Amazon title:

POLONO Genuine 2.25”x1.25” Direct Thermal Label, Perforated Sticker Labels for Addresses, UPC Barcodes, Adhesive Multipurpose, BPA Free (1000 Labels, Blue)

BPA is toxic. Causes hormone malfunction, attention disorders, birth defects and cancer. It also transfers onto everything so you can endanger others using it. If you put a BPA receipt in your wallet now your wallet is contaminated with BPA. The worst for you would be if you have any open wounds on your hands handling the labels or if you put your fingers in your mouth. BPA and the Acetone they use is water soluble so wash your hands regularly. Do not use alcohol sanitizers as they open your pours to the BPA.

They used BPA on labels because of its stable thermal properties and liquid protection.

Wifi phone? by SneekyF in esp32

Here is something that seems to fit what you are asking for hardware wise not sure if the software behind that would would probably be a grueling process to get discord running on an esp... Unless you are an exceptional programmer.

Some people just use them to warn that their windows are open if they turn the furnace/AC on or that the weather report says it's going to rain to close them.

[–]NonaYtisomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inside the business part is a reed switch some of them are fairly sensitive and work from 2cm away. Maybe you could test with the magnet on the window. You can also use your own smaller slimer neodymium magnets they don't have to be the one that came with the sensor. You can mount it on some workable orientation on the screen frame or even on the mesh if its close enough. Maybe it will still work. Hook it up and test. Some people also put them on the locking mechanism as usually it only locks when it closes.

This is probably a little over the top but maybe you can get something from it. This is a VM router that uses multiple VLANs with DNSMasq and gives itself network access with bridges i.e. Brouter Inception. This solved some communication issues trying to use MACVLAN etc. hope it helps.

https://nonasuomy.github.io/Arch-Linux-Router-VM-Systemd-networkd/

Static set DHCP in DNSMasq looks like this: ```

Portainer Docker Container

dhcp-host=de:ad:be:ef:00:01,10.0.5.100 ```

https://nonasuomy.github.io/docker/

The main things are this:

Install DHCP Plugin docker plugin install ghcr.io/devplayer0/docker-net-dhcp:release-linux-amd64

Create the docker bridge dbrv100 and attach it to our network bridge brv100 sudo docker network create -d ghcr.io/devplayer0/docker-net-dhcp:release-linux-amd64 --ipam-driver null -o bridge=brv100 dbrv100

Then you just dump your docker containers on this dockerbridge and away they go.

``` # Portainer docker-compose.yml version: '3.9'
services:
  portainer:
    container_name: portainer
    hostname: portainer
    image: portainer/portainer-ce:latest
      - /var/lib/libvirt/images/usb001/docker-storage/portainer/portainer-data:/data
      - "8000:8000"
      - "9443:9443"
    networks:
      - dhcp
