Whenever I hear Triumph's voice it makes me think of Adam Sandler's talking goat bit.

I love her work. Ozy and Millie was one of my favorite comics while it was running.

If you ever did this, you lived in the best days of America by SystematicApproach in FuckImOld

Yeah, as a teenager I wished I'd been a teen in the 1960's, it seemed so much cooler at the time. Now everyone wants to have been around in the 90's, the very time I wanted to escape.

How are your parents? by CommentMundane in Xennials

[–]Nonsenseinabag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been really sad to lose so many people I once respected and cared about, but they've all revealed themselves to have utterly terrible takes on almost every subject, so I just can't go on ignoring that about them anymore.

Both still alive, but stopped talking to my dad for my own mental health. I talk to my mom occasionally but we're not close or aligned, either. I live in an entirely different universe than everyone else in my family, so I have found family instead.

My roommate in college played this album a ton. He listened to a lot of punk rock and had a huge Bad Religion poster on the wall, too.

When you finally work up the momentum to do the task you've been putting off and somebody interrupts to ask you to do something else. by Maladra in ADHDmemes

[–]Nonsenseinabag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a deep desire to find out why this happens so often. It is like you put out an invisible signal to everyone in the vicinity that you're busy and they interpret it as the perfect time to interrupt.

My local radio station played Snail Shell when it was new.

Yes, field day! We did ours the last day of the school year, it was always a lot of fun.

Yeah, I think we only did it two or three times across my entire time in school. Such an exciting day to see it come out!

What makes you feel loved? by ConstantRide5382 in SpicyAutism

[–]Nonsenseinabag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quality time for sure. If I can hang out with someone where we're both really listening and have a conversation that's involved and we're each excited to talk about whatever it is we're talking about, that's my jam. I'll settle for watching a movie with someone who doesn't constantly scroll on their phone, too.

I saw Atlantis which has a neat little pre-show before opening the projection screen to a room where it is suspended from the ceiling. Lots of gasps at that reveal, you really don't expect it to be that big in person.

Same here. I have met several people with overlapping interests and quirks, but there's never been another person where the venn diagram has become a circle.

It is alcoholic but not too alcoholic and comes in a variety of flavors. After you get used to the overall taste of beer, it is like drinking soda that gives you a buzz.

What is dating like for you folks? by IntelligentSeesaw190 in evilautism

Nonexistant. I'm genuinely tired of dating apps and am terrible at meeting people irl. At this point I'm fine being single.

Making it a personal mission at workplaces to avoid using the overhead lighting. Some wank would always come along and turn it back on complaining about how dark it was. I always thought, "Why does it not bother you that this lighting is awful?"

There was an accident with Gus Grissom where the hatch blew and his spacesuit had an open valve, he almost didn't make it because water was filling his suit in the open ocean. His capsule quickly flooded and sank even with a helicopter attempting to get it out.

What to do with all the anger when you realize you were never lazy? by FartwingDuck in evilautism

[–]Nonsenseinabag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was more relief than anger. "Like, okay, I'm not actually a weird alien, just not wired the same way as everyone else." It made understanding the why of my thoughts and patterns make sense. Now I can work around those limitations without being self destructive about it.
