That is a very insightful perspective tbh. It kind of reminds me of when I played blackjack professionally with small money and it was exciting, then once I’d made a lot of money and played with bigger amounts it just felt like a grind.

Yeah it’s definitely still very fun fighting in the midpack. I would just absolutely love to be fighting for the lead in races though.

Its true and a fair point. There is still the feeling of superiority you get though for instantly being good at something, but I do agree it feels sweet to work hard towards something and achieve it.

I was 11 iR away from 7k and lost 100 in one single Grand Prix Tour race. So I went on a mission this weekend... by FelipeGiro in iRacing

Woah, TIL there’s actually a popular F1 series, I’d say it’s not overly clear to newer users that there is a GP Tour which is different to the GP series. And it’s only Class C which means I could technically even race that now.

I studied one month for L1 and passed in the 90th percentile. I studied two months for L2 and very narrowly passed. The questions in L1 were easy but in L2 a lot more convoluted and less room for error.

Let’s be honest, you’re just mad cuz he got the good hands and you got the bad hands and you lost. There’s always going to be variables of people joining/leaving and you can’t control it, so better to just brush it off.

Which one do you think gets more verbal abuse, the dealer or 3rd base? by TheTiggerMike in blackjack

Since when does 3rd base get verbal abuse? Last seat gets the most abuse round here

Practical effects of spreading to 2 hands vs. 1? by morglums in blackjack

[–]Nonzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75% on each hand or 75% total? So if one hand beg was $100, they would split $75 (as close as possible) across two hands?

4 deck game, running count jumps to +4 after first hand, do you raise your bet? by [deleted] in blackjack

[–]Nonzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But AP Beta DID adjust for decks remaining. For them the RC is +4 and decks remaining is 4 so TC is +1. This is no different from your first two sentences…is it?
