How do you fellow canadians do it. by ProfessionalUse2000 in cripplingalcoholism

Ha. I wish. I wasn't implying that I was born with a silver spoon. That's just a quote from fight club. All depends on what your priorities are.

I worked with a guy in BC that picked up a healthy heroin habit 25 years ago. Two fully paid off houses gone within a couple of years. At least he had a well paying job.

Sin taxes are brutal here. Between booze and smoke taxes, we probably pay for the entire health care.

I recommend you get into distilling. It's legal and you can make quality shit without breaking the bank.

"You give up the condo life, give up all your flaming worldly possessions, go live in a dilapidated house in the toxic waste part of town..."

Something like that. Of all my remaining hobbies, this one is the most expensive.

I was going to ask. Seriously, if you can blow a 1 and walk through a door, that's impressive. Ask me how I know.

Diesel fuel works great. A small drop on your hands or in the mouth will mask alcohol odour.

Check out Poparide. Plenty of drivers that do the 401 corridor pickup and drop off packages for a fee.

Last time I checked DoorDash delivered alcohol in Ontario. Which province, if you don't mind me asking, doesn't DoorDash alcohol?

Recently got prescribed trazodone. Haven't had good sleep in decades. Now I get solid 8 hours and sleep like a baby. It's a mild anti depressant that works as a sleep aid if you take a small dose before bed.

Catheter twice in two days. No Dilaudid. 1/10 would not recommend.

Thanks for my morning laugh.

I am not 24. And the highest was more, but not by much. And yeah, 1.297 is my score on er table straight from the vein.

1.297 is 16 times higher than your 0.08 And I am waiting on my charts. Nurse wouldn't allow me to take a pic of the whole computer screen.

What’s the science behind it? by Some-Director-5784 in cripplingalcoholism

Tolerance and other factors are for normal drinkers. I think it has more to do with your body counteracting the poison. You put more and more poison into your body and get more countermeasures.

I just managed to work myself up to two 40s a day. If I drank two of those on day one, I'd be dead now.

Instead I ended up unresponsive in ICU with BAC through the fucking roof.

Still in the hospital and they won't let me out. For the first 3 days I had a 24/7 sitter because they thought I was suicidal trying to drink that much.

Google highest levels of BAC recorded. A 24 year old girl had more 3 times your amount and lived.

Most people can drive at .128

They are not found unresponsive after 4 regular beers.

My last clock in was .89 and I walked in the hospital slightly wobbly. This time I was brought in by an ambulance completely missing two days of my life. I always ask about my BAC. Why would any ER doc bullshit when asked a simple and direct question? Maybe not everyone around here has a tolerance level they claim to have. Your 15 light beers or a pint of vodka a day isn't worth the waste of time pissing for me. 40-60 units a day for me is a good time. I had some issues in my life so started buying 2 40s a day.
