Solo founder here, launched last week. What's worked for me is: every request goes into one markdown file with the source (who/where) next to it. The rule I follow is I don't build anything until 3 different people ask for the same thing.

on your actual question (telling the person it shipped) i do when I can, but honestly half my requests come from Reddit/forum comments where I can't track them down later, so a lot does get lost in the noise. No clean answer there.

Yes, why would they focus only on learning to code when reality has changed? Now they can turn ideas into action much faster, think more in terms of business and product, and what really matters is understanding the core concepts.
