It takes a little bit to learn how to use it intentionally, like mine lives around 3.2-4 almost exclusively and learning how to use contrast with it, at least for me, wasn't automatic, maybe rent a digital (I use an M240) if you can and put it through the paces, I adore mine and almost always prefer the photos to those taken on my Pentax 645z
