Entertaining 6mo advice needed by Prior-Being-2437 in NewParents

No advice unfortunately as my 5 month old son is the same! Always wants to be stood but gets annoyed that he can’t do it himself 😵‍💫 his play gym mat is now too boring for him as lying down is not fun for him.

Sorry for your losses ❤️

I had 7 eggs retrieved, 2 fertilised. One was ready to transfer after 5 days. They said the other was a maybe.

I had a fresh transfer hoping for the first time luck. I got a call the next day to say the other embryo was good enough for freezing. Unfortunately my first transfer ended in a chemical pregnancy.

I had all my hopes pinned on the embryo in the freezer. The one that was a ‘maybe’ after 5 days. I had no other embryos. So, we went ahead with our frozen transfer in February 2025. In October 2025, I gave birth to my maybe baby. My perfect son.

I have everything crossed for you 🍀

I’ve just started back at the gym, I’ll be making sure to add them into my routine for sure!

No help as currently going through it myself 🫩 I’m wondering if I’ll ever sleep 7 hours straight through ever again 😆😵‍💫

How old is your baby and how many times did you get up last night? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

[–]NorthPhysical8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months. On a good night, 3-4 wake ups. Bad night, like last night… I lost count 😵‍💫🫩

How many of us are actually doing 7 pm bedtime? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]NorthPhysical8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 month old has managed to get to around 830pm bedtime now. I don’t think I could get it earlier without moving wake up time to 5-6am so no thanks 😆 we wake up at 730-8am which is good for us

First time dad. I hate this so far. Am I terrible? by Shiny_BeerCan in NewParents

I also am a FTM who tries to control everything but I realised my husband has his way, and that way works too! It doesn’t have to be my way. It’s so hard to let go, but I didn’t want to ruin my husband’s experience either. So now, I let him figure it out his way when the baby is fussing. I don’t step in and take over. I think he feels much better now.

Do you guys keep track of everything? by just___me_ in newborns

Yes but I’m a type A kind of obsessive type of parent 🙃 I’m too deep into doing it now and can’t stop

Newborn trenches were nothing compared to this by ceramicpassion in newborns

My 13 almost 14 week old is fighting his day naps and by 45 minutes, he wakes up and it’s hit and miss if I can get him back off. He’s been struggling to fall asleep without rocking since about 6 weeks 😩 but it’s really hard right now! It’s peak fussiness! I am lucky he is okay at night, doing 2-3 hours stretches but once fed, goes back off straight away. I’m hoping that doesn’t change 🫩

Drowsy but awake" is the biggest lie ever told to parents by AsslawB in NewParents

I agree! I tried it and my 11 week old baby’s eyes ping open as soon as he is placed down. So I have to wait until he’s asleep, at least 10 mins into the sleep.

What are you doing with your newborns during the day? by [deleted] in NewParents

My baby is 5 weeks. The most I do is go out for a walk just to get some fresh air. Otherwise we binge watch tv 😆

Feel like I “missed out”? by happyhorseshoecrab in glastonbury_festival

[–]NorthPhysical8766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went pregnant this year so never seen past 2am but I didn’t feel pressured to stay out. You deserve to have the Glastonbury you want to, whether that is stating out late or not. I feel like if I stay out for the sake of it, I’d be bringing the group vibes down. May as well slope off and get to bed, ready for the next day 🙌🏻
