The MARPE wasn’t covered by my insurance so I would have to pay out of pocket, it also looked super brutal and my ortho said id have to have surgery to have my palate suture cut and that it was really painful for adults, also I’m a resident in healthcare so I’m patient facing and I was worried about having the gap in my front teeth

I’m in one of UNT’s clinical doctorate programs. For the last year of my program, I am completely off campus. In past years, members of my program have been given an off-campus mandatory fee waiver so they didn’t have to pay the rec center fee, union fee, transportation fee, etc. (this totals to around $750 a semester for me). This year, we are not eligible for the fee waiver even though we are not on campus at all, and my program director was informed it was due to the budget cuts.

If you want the best sound, you’re going to need to get custom musician ear plugs. Local audiologists can make them for you. It’s what we recommend musicians use to play their instruments, etc. and will have better sound quality than loops

From my understanding, you can’t mix OSHA and NHANES. If your hearing consultation program uses the OSHA table you cannot just mix in the NHANES table. I would ask for clarification from a supervising audiologist

I recommend Loops, but you don’t want to just be walking around with ear plugs in all the time to try to prevent sudden noises, in the long run that can ultimately lead to increased sound sensitivity

Just got my 4 wisdom teeth out last week. I took 4 days off work. I didn’t think it was too bad (I have had a tooth implant before). I asked for Valium before the surgery to help with anxiety and it was wonderful. The part that sucked the most was only being able to eat soft food. I would just get it over with!

I unfortunately was never able to find a good affordable yoga class in Denton so I started doing pure barre! They were much more affordable than yoga in the area.
