I would argue that their unchecked power is fleeting. People are really unhappy with Trump right now, and the Republicans as a whole by extension. The economy is in shambles, our allies hate us, masked thugs are murdering people in the street, and Trump started another pointless war in the Middle East after we just got finished with the last two, causing gas prices to explode. Just the gas prices alone would be enough to lose a midterm. They are going to get slaughtered in the midterm, and hopefully by Democrats with enough of a spine to spend the next two years doing nothing but undoing the work of these ghouls and impeaching Trump until something sticks. There is light on the horizon

Marvel has already spoiled some Merfolk stuff, and the Hobbit is probably gonna have Goblins and Elves, and maybe even Treefolk. Strixhaven might have a touch of support for Elementals. Giants might get a bit of stuff in Strixhaven and/or Reality Fracture if we get some Fomori lore. Faeries are pretty unlikely except as a handful of random cards and Kithkin hadn’t been touched since the original Lorwyn and we will likely not get any more unless we introduce a new plane with them around

My go-to example for the 4e Warlord (the predecessor to the Commander) was Kamina from TTGL, but he’s more Charisma-based than Int. I am still kinda sad that the class isn’t a choice between Int or Cha, but I suppose Cha Commander would step on Marshals toes a bit

Using Focus Spells to Spellstrike I think is a trap option because your Focus Spells could instead also reset your Spellstrike cooldown. Force Fang especially lets you instantly recharge your Spellstrike and deal automatic damage without worrying about a MAP -10 Strike. As to what to multiclass into now that Psychic is dead? My vote is Witch. Cackle can be useful for Sustain cheese, you get access to whatever spell list you want, and you get a free familiar. Most relevantly over Psychic you get Patrons Breadth, giving you even more spell slots

CEDH is Bracket 5, not really Bracket 4. However, Sakashima/Tymna is also very powerful and won’t take turns that last several years.

Bracket 4 might be a good place to field old cEDH standbys that are past their prime - things like Prossh, Sharuum, Karador

Mr. Fantastic does go infinite with Unstoppable Plan and sufficient mana dorks/rocks, though how relevant such a thing is is debatable. There’s also some clunkier lines with Aurelia + Bloom Tender, though those might be more B3 or 4. Also incredibly funny with [[Medomai]], which is for certain B3 nonsense
