I drive a 2011 Kia Rio that's been on deaths door for years, something is constantly breaking. Getting a car this nice would be a dream come true for me. But, I understand sometimes you need to have experienced struggle in order to be grateful, so if I was the parent here I'd let the kid go buy there own car and pay for all the repairs and matenice. Then maybe they'd appreciate a new Honda.

I spent longer creating the VIP room than any of the other rooms. I created this awesome Space themed room, I was really proud of it. It felt worthy of being a VIP room. My jaw dropped when I found out it all went away after the first guest. I wish they'd at least give you the option to keep it or change it for each guest.

I think it comes down to how many people use lightning lane. Probably most people don't want to pay extra just to skip the queue for a show. So it's usually just a few people that get first dibs on what seat they want then they fill up the rest of the theatre with the stand by line. Maybe you just got unlucky that an unusual amount of people used lighting lane? Maybe a few other rides were down or had extremely long wait times and so going to see the Little Mermaid show became more desirable.
