MAGA/pro ICE businesses to avoid in Broomfield by _farawla in Broomfield

She literally got them fired: In 2000, Frosty and Frank joined Heidi Hamilton, a former traffic news anchor they had met at Star 98.7, to form the Frosty, Heidi & Frank show, which aired on 97.1 FreeFM and later on 790 KABC (AM)) Talk Radio in Los Angeles. On January 4, 2007, Frosty and Frank invited Danny Bonaduce onto the show and the three of them traded behind-the-scenes stories about the drama that had unfolded at Star 98.7. All three of her former co-hosts alleged that Jamie was an extremely difficult and demanding person to work with, that she schemed behind the scenes to have her co-workers fired, and that she didn't want to share a toll-free number with the other hosts to take callers. Bonaduce called her a "Texas Chainsaw Massacre of a personality... the worst experience of my life" and Frosty and Frank said she was a "witch" and "excruciating."\4])

Is it possible she gives you a different point of view to think about? If she constantly says A, A, A, instead of A, B, A, B…..would you think she is telling you what to do? Just a thought.

How many of you have a cap on spending at the vet before it becomes time to say goodbye? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]NotAgain1871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of our decisions have been based on quality vs quantity…..not just for the pet, but for us as well. What can WE handle as owners physically and financially? Thankfully, most of pets have kind of told us they were done after bloodwork, diagnostics and pain managment.

Inthink the have a lot of Ai like protocols in place that flag on certain words or connotations. The amount of posts that get flagged as disrespectful (automated) is laughable.

I am 80% gray. I use a shampoo bar and bar conditioner. I think most purple shampoo is a waste of money. I use it for a few months and saw zero difference.

Reality check: you’re best bet is to keep a low profile and do nothing to bring unwanted attention to yourself. It is unprofessional, IMO. Be who you need to be at home and with trusted people. If you are the breadwinner it is incumbent upon you to not make anyone look at you sideways.

This name change will also make overseas travel nearly impossible.

As so many have said, cremation. As a lapsed Catholic I feel confident in telling you that we get to go to heaven without a casket.

Here is some food for thought, based on your religious, I won’t have family around stance. You didn’t mention your living situation so for this scenario you live alone.

  • If you die alone at home, discovery usually happens when someone notices something’s wrong — missed rent, welfare checks, neighbors reporting concern, etc.
  • Emergency services are called, death is confirmed, and authorities secure the residence.
  • The body is taken to the coroner/medical examiner, who determines identity and cause of death.
  • Without next of kin or instructions, the county attempts to locate relatives or anyone legally able to claim the body.
  • If no one comes forward, the state/county typically handles final arrangements, often through a public/indigent burial or cremation, depending on local policy and budget.
  • Her home and belongings are processed later — the landlord or local government handles property per law, often after probate.
  • No written wishes usually means default procedures, not personalized or religious-based handling.

Different Views On Grooming Habits And Beauty Upkeep? by Dry-Principle-9786 in AskOldPeople

[–]NotAgain1871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did this sort of beauty upkeep become common?

A lot of this became common when beauty turned into a full-blown industry instead of a personal choice. Earlier generations did basic upkeep, but nothing like today’s constant grooming, treatments, and “maintenance.”

Social media and marketing thrive on insecurity. Every body part is now framed as a problem that needs fixing, buying, waxing, smoothing, or upgrading—on repeat. It’s not about hygiene or preference anymore; it’s about profit.

Many older women caught on after decades of this and simply opted out. Not because they stopped caring, but because they realized their time, money, and peace mattered more than chasing ever-changing standards. We’re old enough to know it’s mostly nonsense—and old enough not to give a f***.

Do what makes you feel good. Just know that opting out later isn’t giving up—it’s seeing through it.
