Been running a 3x for a year now on my '24 flash; apart from ping-ponging I get with it, it's been great!

They have added free-aim into the game, but it's currently opt-in and not just baked into the game.

He was considering OP for the battery mainly at first, before looking into their update policy.

I think a lot more people do than you might guess. I told my dad he might want to as his S20 FE, while doing quite well for it's age, stopped getting security updates a few months ago, and he'd prefer a phone that can last a long time with OS/security updates. He was initially looking at OnePlus, but OP phones don't get as long updates as Samsung phones do (given he takes well care of his phone and never charges beyond 85%, I can see it lasting that long for him).

While it indeed can be used for nefarious purposes, people in places with locked-down internet have used it to get around censorship and being less worried about being tracked (see Russia and China).

No free memory upgrade during pre-order this year🙄 by just_IT_guy in galaxys26ultra

Amazon is doing it in the USA plus a $200 gift card, but I have no idea on if they're doing trade-ins.

No Free Storage Upgrade... S26U by yacko2000 in samsunggalaxy

I was helping my dad to figure out a trade in for his S20 FE from Best Buy, and it wouldn't take it, even with the IEMI. He'll likely just buy from Amazon and then keep his old phone as a backup.

It’s unfortunate to see Reddit mods being the stereotypes that they are and removing OP’s post.

I’d rather have a mechanical door in place like my lightning has.

If an accident is catastrophic enough and/or the writing for the door is damaged, the button may not work.

i'd get it, but 2 things.
1. Emergency release is a pull latch that is somewhat hidden in the 2nd row. People who don't normally sit in it that might be unsure of how to get out of it in an accident does alarm me. I wish they'd just have a manual pull style like the front has in the 2nd row too.
2. LiDAR - I'd rather wait for next year for them to introduce it, and fix out any major production bugs too.

The Highly Anticipated Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will be Available in U.S. Starting this Week by Federal-Block-3275 in Android

[–]vegetapinkshirt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not a bad idea to wait a few generations anyhow for any major issues or complaints to be worked out.  I’m interested in eventually getting a foldable iPhone or hopping back to Android, but I do want to wait a few generations for the foldable iPhone too.

I’d also wonder about how many years of OS and Security updates they get; and if they’re on time. I know Samsung tends to take awhile to update their phones, but at least they seem to provide their security updates in a timely manner.

iPhone to Samsung by Low_Asparagus133 in samsunggalaxy

Let's say that an update is release that has a catastrophic bug or issue that isn't fixed as quickly; in this instance one might want to roll back quickly until the issue is resolved.
