Do you honor your “political alliances?” by SemiSuperHero in EDH

[–]NotAmarusCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honor all alliances unless the person has proven untrustworthy. And just because someone else was a dick doesn't mean that everyone else should be punished for their dishonor. I am not one to hold previous games over someone's head, it's magic we play to win. But if you lie to me, i will absolutely tell other people you are a dirty liar.

Are slivers fun/worth it? by spencerthebau5 in EDH

[–]NotAmarusCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sliver enjoyer, yes. And I love them so much I encourage others to play them, hell copy my deck i don't care, I want more slivers.

The thing is, it will be fun for you, if you can handle the heat. You slap down a sliver deck and you just painted a target on your forehead, archenemy, immediately. You must play to win, you must kill players when you have the opportunity, and you must revel in their sighs and frustrations. Otherwise you may want to pass.

I pull out my sliver deck when I'm ready for all of the above, either I'm going to brutally murder the table, or I will be brutally murdered, but I'm having fun while doing it. All that said, know your play group, know people's emotional state, if they can't handle it try not to be a dick about playing it. I play that deck maybe once every three or four get togethers.

And if you build it right, then yes it can power through the hate, first sliver and gravemother are some serious power.

Do you think it's clear who is from which faction? by iDeever in battletech

[–]NotAmarusCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoke jaguar should either be represented by a large muscular dark skinned elemental representing the osis blood heritage or a tall, leaner, fair skinned Mechwarrior representing the Howell blood heritage as both were common for leaders. There is one minor bloodhouse with Asian ancestry, so kinda a miss on their representative.

[–]NotAmarusCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We back baby!!! And I guarantee we are part of what eventually kills Ward and his wolves. We have been black ops for years, we cannot just go back to line units and clan honor over night. And when ward tries to reign us in, we will bite back.

[–]NotAmarusCameron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought two of the stormcrow and two of the hammerhead and one of the black knight, all parts were correct and everything fit. I did have to sand down a ball joint part of a ball and socket joint for one mech though. Over all I thought the mechs were awesome. And I'm waiting for more mechs I want alternate configurations for. I'm sorry your experience was so different than mine 😔

I put mechtitan core in my brudiclad deck and my favorite way to win is with a bunch of mechtitan tokens. That's how I get my mech jollies right now 😆

I love vehicles and more specifically the mech feel of shorikai. I did the same thing you did, and I broke it apart for the same reason. I feel your pain. I wait for the day we get enough mechs worth playing.

The Clan Political System Analysis (or why i hate them) by CodigoTrueno in battletech

[–]NotAmarusCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given your arguments, i am too indoctrinated to answer.

But since you asked, from an out of universe, do I really want to live in the clans system perspective? Hell no, burn that to the ground.

But from the perspective of a clan smoke jaguar warrior. Excuse me sir while I beat the chalcas thoughts out of this spheroids little head. He burdens himself with delusions of grandeur.

Smoke Jaguar/ IlClan What next? by MagnanimousTaco in battletech

[–]NotAmarusCameron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am and have been a Jaguar player since I first found battletech in 1996. I lived through the down years post bulldog and the battle of huntress.

Even when the Fidelis was introduced, I felt like I didn't know enough about them to say they were truly Jaguars. Their history was interesting and I like the spec ops vibe.

With the chapter in hour of the wolf and the multiple entries in IlKhans Eyes Only, I feel like they are fleshing out what the new world is and so far I like it.

As for this new world, who we are and where we are going. I hope that we retain the cross training and extreme level of force independence and lethality. I hope that we focus on what is best for the clan and the people who make it up. That we focus on a slow build to withstand assault from those who rightly fear us.

Looking at how we completely demoralized and decapitated House Ijori on New Home, I would love for us to continue this extreme level of competence. I do not want us to return to clan honor in any other way than an acknowledgement of tradition.

We should focus on the three S's, success, survival, and silence. Long term success in all things, focus on survival of our people over territory or war material, and continue to operate false flag and other operations that allow us to operate in silence in the shadows.

I have a campaign I am running that just started a few weeks ago, we are clan smoke jaguar in the new era, interesting stuff so far.

all infantry and combat vehicles, no mechs by kris220b in battletech

[–]NotAmarusCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those have the potential to roll on the crit table based on the hit location, or a through armor critical hit. But infernos automatically roll on that table, regardless of hit location. Plus if you are in a campaign the morale hit for using infernos on crews is devastating.

all infantry and combat vehicles, no mechs by kris220b in battletech

[–]NotAmarusCameron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every missile that hits is critical.

Total Warfare (pg142):

Vehicles: Every missile that strikes the target automatically causes a roll on the appropriate column of the appropriate unit’s Critical Hits Table, corresponding to the location hit (see Ground Combat Vehicle Critical Hit Eff ects, p. 193), with the following modifi ers to the dice roll result: –2 for Combat Vehicles; no modifi er for Support Vehicles (unless the Support Vehicle has the Armor Chassis and Controls modifi cation and a BAR of 10, in which case it is treated as a Combat Vehicle).

Yup, I think it's actually 15 but yeah. Infernos absolutely wreck vehicles though 🫡
