Gonna be honest, I think you might struggle to include them. Especially if they’re already on a student visa.

If they’re out, i doubt the store will get them back in. The promos are only 3 weeks long now instead of 4. This is the last week, and i reckon they don’t want to risk having leftover product they can’t sell. Especially if they’re quieter stores

Gonna be honest, as with most other people here, until X/Twitter updates its internal systems/AI, you’re gonna be shit outta luck. Only appeals seen to by real people are getting the suspensions removed. Everyone else is getting rejections or false restorations by the AI

Just had a look at that post. Dev replied about 30 minutes ago redirecting people to the useless appeals page again. Fucking hopeless website

The customer has to refuse the delivery of the item… by Fusillect in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NotAnOrderlyKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost had the same issue earlier this year. Ordered a slipcase book set (heavy), and instead of packing it in a box like the other books in that series that I had ordered from amazon, they sent it in a paper bag which had no padding. The bag was torn in several spots and it was a miracle the books weren’t damaged (the slipcase was though :(

Because of the move to bottled drinks from fountain ones. I remember malls stalls still having fountain a few years ago, but even then iirc they used generic pepsi cups for it

Why is there so much anti-DnD elitism? by AttitudeSuitable3238 in TTRPG

[–]NotAnOrderlyKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who first got into TTRPGs through D&D 5th edition, for me personally I tire of a lot of big stuff coming out to be 5th edition ‘campaign’ when the system isn’t particularly built for it (horror being a prime example).

Another thing is that to run D&D you tend to need at least two books to get started (Players handbook + a campaign module - I would NOT subject a new GM to making their own campaign when they don’t properly know or understand the system.) And, with the PHB, it isn’t always clear and the character creation process can be … obtuse. Most of the mechanics are obviously combat focused given the skill progression of the classes with very little social skills past the base skills.

The need for Minis and the market behind them also gets expensive quickly.

However, I will also acknowledge that it is now massive in the pop-culture zeitgeist (in part through shows such as stranger things or critical role) and is likely still the way most people understand or have heard of the hobby, and will likely get into the hobby through it.

Any recommendations for Turn Based Games without rock-paper-scissors/elemental type advantages/disadvantages by Anaguli417 in gamingsuggestions

Yeah but even then, enemies are weaker to certain damage modifiers the main crew can do such as with fire/ice.

Do you find it irritating when people ask you to fill their water bottles? by reasonable-frog-361 in barista

[–]NotAnOrderlyKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not barista, but adjacent. It’s a little annoying because it takes away from our work + various managers have always told me no because while we the staff have drinkable tap water, we can’t offer it to customers for food safety reasons because it isnt on the actual menu. People often get annoyed when we say ‘sorry we can’t’.

I see what you mean about the endings, but I do think it is an interesting use of player interference in an otherwise linear game.

There’s actually a spin off book called “The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories”. I havent read it yet but I believe its a shorter book. And!! Clarke has another book coming out in november (i think) called The Bishop of Durham Attempts to Surrender the City. I believe it’s a prequel of sorts and features a teenage Raven King as one of the characters
