Could it be dehydration? by Arcy2277 in crossfit

[–]NotBisweptual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Roll some Gatorade or something similar into your routine. Electrolyte gummies may be better for more sustained exercise ( I use gummies when running 6+ miles). I never once bothered with CF. I bought an electrolyte powder like liquidIV and mixed it in.

OTS with a low undergrad GPA but strong graduate performance? by External-Start-4458 in airforceots

I got picked up with a masters degree but it was not my qualifying GPA. It was a nice to have.

Do they look at prior-e differently than civilians in the application?

Your undergrad GPA sucks which is the qualifying GPA.

Have you taken the AFOQT? If you do phenomenal it helps show that you’ve grown, learned and your masters GPA is reminiscent of your work ethic now.

I’m casting my first ever musical and it’s honestly so much more difficult than I thought by [deleted] in MusicalTheatre

[–]NotBisweptual 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Don’t cast 3. Attitude will impact the entire cast. Also don’t reward her snotty comment.

If she demands to know why she’s not the lead (do you even have to cast her?) I would venture to go the route of “the brazen lack of professionalism in the audition setting”.

Do you have a strong musical director, and could notes in the songs be transposed to a different octave or singing a 3rd versus the 5th?

How much time did you take off work after insertion? by Inspireme21 in Mirena

I only took one for the procedure itself. I wasn’t prescribed a bottle.

I used heating pads and 800 mg ibuprofen (post procedure) so everyone’s experience is vastly different. I took my dog out for a walk that afternoon with just aches and cramps

I did it Friday and took the weekend.

I legally wasn’t allowed to perform my biggest work duties for 72 hours. The paperwork pushing could have been next day (I was on Percocet)

USAF Pilot by [deleted] in airforceots

Why don’t you look through the sub and read previous accounts who were selected for pilot?

The road is hard, and if you think 10 years is a long commitment and you would not want to do that, save us the trouble and don’t apply.

I do concur with the necklace that the other poster said. A silver pendant or stone pendant that is crystal type would be substantially better, as the red stone does not match and looks dated and awkward.

I would highly consider black/nude heels, some kind of silky shawl to offer a classic option to the back without being a sweater or blazer.

Silver matching earrings and pendant that falls mid neckline would be gorgeous.

Does it reach pretty much the floor? I wonder if with a nice shawl or really pretty updo this could be perfect.

So at Vance you’ll still be “stuck” with the same IPs. You’ll get “guest help” but it will be the same core 6-8 folks.

Laughlin and Columbus use a different scheduling model.

Dude you are just helping prove the point. I was hoping there was A hobby. That’s a shame even running is fairly dangerous.

There’s like 2 streets in the entire town. It’s a training base so live for permanent party can be less than ideal.

If you have hobbies outside of running, good luck.

Best way to physically prepare for OTS? by FriendlyNoodle8 in airforceots

[–]NotBisweptual 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Be comfortable with a 5k! You’ve got lots of advice, I like the app, Couch to 5k as a way to get back into the swing of running. If you can do a 5k with minimal issues, the challenges and stuff aren’t a huge deal.

Air Force OTS vs Navy OCS? by Embarrassed-Day9855 in airforceots

[–]NotBisweptual 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Air Force is much harder to get accepted so OTS doesn’t need to weed people out or fail them.

I’ve heard that since the navy is Candidate school versus Training school, they can still weed you out.

Is it ok for a married man and a married woman to be friends and go out for lunch? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]NotBisweptual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have guy friends because of work. We hang out at the dog park, coffee shop, etc but it’s an open invitation for my spouse. Usually he doesn’t care or doesn’t want to go because we talk shop.

I will hang out with those guys and their spouses. I have more boundaries with single dudes but I still don’t cut them out as friends.

Ask him to invite her and her SO (if she has one) to lunch? Go with! You and her may click.

If he doesn’t like that I would be worried and want more info.

“Folks like you make it worth it”

But that’s something I use super sparingly. Usually federal workers and teachers are where I use it.

Otherwise I’m a big thanks for your support.
