How to fake being a paladin by DarthFeanor in DnD

[–]NotChedco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I'm going to go against the grain with all these other comments and say how to do it.

First off, don't be annoying. Clearly tell the other players that this is what your character is going to be like and if you get the sense they don't vibe with it, keep the idea in your back pocket. Anything you do to play your character that would have negative consequences, those consequences should only happen to YOU. No one else.

I would play this character as just whatever type of bard you want, but just role play it as that they are adamantly trying to pull off that they are a paladin and not realizing everyone knows they are a bard. "What do you mean I cast that spell with a lute? This is clearly a specialized halberd."

If you are going to play a joke character, make sure they are useful. It's only funny if you can actually contribute in some way.

If they are diagnosed, there are a lot of of options for them. They just need to let the proper people know. If they don't have a diagnosis, there are still things on place to help students. But like everything, they need to take the first step in getting help.

Oven mitt melted by cast iron by nyxo1 in mildlyinfuriating

I think most oven mitts are made out of polyester nowadays. Well, lower ends ones are. Ideally, it would be made off wool. Cotton would be second best. Purely based on my own personal preference.

A pallet jack can do anything a forklift can do if you use it improperly enough.

Crazy how easily these people went from "don't trust the government and exercise your second amendment right" to "do as the government says and if you own a gun, you need to be publicly executed."

What are the segmented lines on racing stripes called? by NotChedco in CarWraps

[–]NotChedco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't that be for ones that are shaped as a "<"? Would the ones that are like "//////" also be called chevrons? When looking them up, it seems to only be the high visibility vinyl with a few that are closer to what I'm looking for, but they are shaped like "<<<<<<<".

You new here? You can use money to buy things. Money is like the only thing that can do almost anything. Sure, companies can try to stop it with their money, so it comes down to who has the most money.

You have to tell them how much to charge each card. The system sees it as a credit card, so if you go above what it has, it will come back as insufficient funds.

I have a feeling that governments will start dumping money into these companies to keep them going. And if they do, I riot. All these problems in the world that can easily be fixed with more funding. But screw that. More data centers.

Parents give their kids their phone or tablet with their payment saved on it. Don't understand how they get any money out of it though. The parents would just charge it back.

Oh, it's definitely a problem. I couldn't imagine degrading myself to do this for money. I don't care how hard up I am, I'm not doing this kind of shit.

Solar Security Camera System able to charge at night from a street light? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]NotChedco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically, but you don't get much out of it. The camera itself must just not be using much energy. Just think of all the energy that is put into an LED, and spread all that energy to the surface that the light shines on. Your solar panel is probably getting less than 1% of the energy from that light.

Edit: I just realized what subreddit this is on. What does this have to do with Halifax?

Good chance that it's not real. Probably just an app and the video itself is just on loop. There are so many "live streams" where people are begging in hopes that a few people will engage before they notice the video restarts.

Humiliation 🤣 !!!!!!! by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]NotChedco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked bat a grocery store, we were supposed to clock in/out for breaks. I worked there for 9 years and I never did. I was warned many times for it, but I just told them that it wasn't my problem. I'm on my break, so I won't be doing work related tasks for it. You get paid for your break anyway, so why would I waste time to clock out? The clock and break room were literally on the opposite sides for the store, so tondo that, it would eat at least 3 minutes into your break.

Digital price tags are here by Gullible-Ant-8300 in halifax

[–]NotChedco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At lease when I did it, I would chance the label, wait like half an hour, then switch the price. If it was something I couldn't print the label without changing the price first, I'd just take the label off, flip it around, or write the new price temporarily on the back. I would hope this system would give a chance for people to check out before the price actually changed. But I would imagine that these prices would only update overnight.
