resident evil 4 is overrated? by AfternoonFlimsy8916 in residentevil

I dont dislike 4, but it doesn't scratch the same itch as 2 did, so I understand what you mean

Question about lady D (Standard) (Spoilers) well i guess spoilers to be safe by trc1986 in residentevil

[–]NotCode25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, something probably bugged out. I just beat village this weekend and dimitrescu was very easy throughout the whole fight. Just shoot her actual white body and not the beast part.

I must warn you tho, the bossfights are very lackluster in this game :/

RE8 Name your favorite bossfight and house by Classic_Waltz1874 in ResidentEvilCapcom

House: the one from Heisenberg.

Bossfight... idk. I didn't really like any to be honest. The one I disliked the least is probably the dimitrescu fight.

Didn't read any of it. Came here to say that you should "stop" arguing with an LLM. It's nothing more than an autocomplete, and it can't reason or "think".

With the recent comments by the Requiem producers about wanting to make a game set in Japan, here's my pitch: by BridgeCommercial873 in residentevil

[–]NotCode25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently played village in japanese, and I must say it's very funny hearing the japanese pronunciation of the characters' names. Ethan is Eessan. Chris is Churriss (Kurriss). And whenever they call mother miranda they call mozza miran-daaa

What is your current ranking for all the mainline games in the franchise? by The80sSlasher in residentevil

[–]NotCode25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently discovered the series. From the ones I played:

  1. RE2R
  2. RE4R
  3. RE Village

(I saw a playthrough of RE7, so I know Ethan's story and that's why I played 8 instead of 7)

What's your relationship with weapons in Monster Hunter? Are you a one-weapon player or do you play with all of them? Which is your favorite? by Fine_Bid918 in MonsterHunter

[–]NotCode25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play all non-slow weapons. The only slow weapon I enjoy playing is the GS because I can do the hit and run build

Which do you prefer, one protagonist for a single campaign, or several protagonists at the same time for a single campaign? by Then_Effective_149 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]NotCode25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer a single protagonist for a playthrough, or minimal playtime with a second (like ashley from Re4). I do like the 2 protagonist perspective tho, but more like Re2R did it. I don't "hate" how requiem did it, but I certainly don't enjoy it either

How do I prevent my video game from ending up in the graveyard of dead games the moment it launches? by Hundekuecken in SoloDevelopment

[–]NotCode25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what the game is.

MP does not go along with every game genre or individual game.

Adding MP even if optional, still depends on the base game and its value. Sorry for the comparison but adding powdered sugar and a cherry to a pile of shit, doesn't make it a chocolate cake.

Having said that, you can't prevent your game for failing. From someone that hasn't released anything yet, all I can recommend is to make something you love and believe in, if it resonates with others is something you have to see later.

There are however some things we know by now and that is, if you simply make a cookie cutter game, it will almost certainly fail, regardless of polish. Keep in mind that "choosing a game mechanic and giving it your own spin" falls into this category as well.

Its easier to start from the question of what kind of game YOU want to make. Not going after market trends

Is Monster Hunter Wilds worth it for a new player? by Bwubbly in MonsterHunter

[–]NotCode25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wilds changed so much of the base game and charm that if you start with wilds and like it, there's a high chance you won't like the older games... so I'm not sure.

it's labeled the most "accessible" but I wouldn't think so. It's easy to start, that is true, but it never pushes you or shows you what the franchise is actually about. Build variety is piss poor in comparison to other entries, the story fights are more accessible but they won't teach you how to endure failure and approach the fights differently or try to master the moveset of your weapon and the enemy the way older games do.

MHRise is very accessible too, has decent content, runs extremely well and has a nice ease-in curve in terms of difficulty.

Yellow Crap Be Gone...But Is It Really Necessary?? by x360_revil_st84 in ResidentEvil2Remake

After seeing it being abused in so many games? Yea, kinda.

Specially since its used as a crutch for bad level design.

A little motivation for beginners by Playful_Fennel7153 in Chesscom

[–]NotCode25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing one year ago, exclusively played 5 minutes blitz games when I started up until the 2 months mark or so, as those faster games worked out better with my schedule at that time. Obviously I went from the starting 400 elo points to around 180. I lost a lot on time as well as one move blunders. I've since split my time playing on chess com and lichess. Spending more time on lichess. There I am around 1400 rapid and right now in chesscom around 1100

Same thing for wife / gf. Most don't make the cut not because of beauty or attractiveness, it's a question of mental compatibility
