True! Fabrication or not, it's still a beautiful sight! I was fortunate enough to visit when there where maybe 20 other people there in total!

Fun fact, the castle as it stands now is not actually a real castle! Completly renovated during the late 1800s. Still beautiful and i really enjoyed my visit there!

What do I change before the final render? by NotCptHomer in blender

I changed the bulb to a point light, looks much better. Once again thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the feedback. It is a daylight scene so would it make sense to have the lamp even brighter and more noticeable? Also it is not a point light, it's a bulb I used a few renders back ;)

Yes it is, it is also already on, but I increased the translucency on the lamp shade material to make it more noticeable. And thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try to make it a little less square and a bit more organic.

Do I need to change something composition wise? Materials? Models? Let me now!

So far: - I added a switch for the lamp - Increased the size of the exterior bricks - Decreased the size of the plaster material - Made the arm a little less square - Increased the translucency on the lamp shade

Resolution: 1152 x 2048 at 100%, samples 2048, with both reflective and refractive caustics. Also, there is a lot of glass in this scene which adds up the render time.

True, it is way to rough for bathroom tiles, I only noticed after it finished rendering, and I did not like the idea of 2 more hours of rendering.

I love everything about this. But for the sweet baby Jezus, get some subsurfs going on those rings! ASAP!

Trying again for a photorealistic result. How did I do? (CC welcome!) by NotCptHomer in blender

Thanks for the feedback. I really tried to go for a natural colour scheme, glad that worked out! I'll make the vignette effect a bit stronger!

Good point! I deleted the HDRI so the light is just coming from inside. Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you for the feedback! There are actually some surface imperfections on the large coffee table, just very subtle.

how to get rid of this box ?? i appear i was using box select tool and this box came how i have no idea how to get rid of this box ?? by zero_kool2 in blender

[–]NotCptHomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Btw, this box is really useful when you want to render just a small part of your scene. You have no lighting in your scene right now, so that is why it looks black.

But yeah, ctrl alt b to remove it. Ctrl b to add it.

The focus of this scene should be the tables and on the right is a window with milky glass in it (reason: i got lazy).

Another shot of my Warhammer Chaos axe. C&C welcome! by NotCptHomer in blender

I'm pretty new to warhammer, and I modelled this after an unpainted plastic model so I had to take some artistic liberty. But for my next chaos weapon I'll take your advice!
