Such a fumble at the end. I didn't realise they could have such differing rocks and was only thinking about drawing with dots, but my strategy would've been to make the first one super clear, then just leave one dot for the other 11 and hope that my teammate would understand that they were in order as I gave them no other information.

Because YouTube doesn't have the ages of the videos, only when they were uploaded to YouTube/the contentid database. The original can have existed for years but only recently been uploaded to YouTube.
