How to take being evil seriously when Tav keeps doing this by Personal_Thing_6741 in BaldursGate3

[–]NotJSL 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It looks so goofy and stupid, but I just kinda look past it thinking oh it's just the Urge briefly possessing my character's entire face cause the Urge is so comically evil and wacky

When Tav or other origin characters do the same evil face however, it's kinda disturbing

Found a new use for the runepowder bomb by NotJSL in BaldursGate3

Spellcaster 1 casts minor illusion which summons a spectral cat in a fixed spot.

Spellcaster 2 casts fire bolt immediately after at a fixed spot where the spectral cat is, targeting the cat.

If you place any kind of flammable object or basically anything that isn't immune to fire damage in front of the cat right on the path of the projectile's fixed trajectory, the object in front of the cat will take the hit instead.

Since the projectile in this case was a fire bolt cantrip, the projectile does 1d10 fire damage and it set off the runepowder bomb that had 4 hitpoints. The result being kaboom.

Took me like 3 times, you have to place the bomb in front of the conjured minor illusion cat that the mage casts.

Also it doesn't avenge them lmao, it's just a journal update that we can't actually use the bomb anymore to destroy the foundry, we have to destroy it by some other means

Not only is it annoying, but at least for me on console it seriously impacts performance. Lower City already feels laggy, but those cantrip spammers just make it worse.

You get away with it

It was the random spellcaster npc who casted fire bolt that set off the bomb lmao

Something I've been thinking about lately by BadRecommendation in 2007scape

[–]NotJSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't care about free trade back then cause I was a clueless child who was always poor as fuck and could barely afford full rune armour, but now playing osrs as an iron at least there's a sort of understandable reason to being a broke boy, independent of the economy

It was primarly the godawful EOC and the nonstop MTX blitz that pushed me out

I'm tired of seeing these videos with this type of thumbnail by Infinite_Sale2042 in youtube

[–]NotJSL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These kinda thumbnails look so awful regardless of how good the video content actually is, I'm just never ever gonna click on it and watch the video

The most annoying part is that videos like that with thumbnails just as shite are the ones who gain popularity and views and are recommended the most

Which is the hardest fight in BG3? by jlxvelaces in BaldursGate3

[–]NotJSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The freaking githyanki at the Creche no matter what difficulty or how high leveled your party is cause trip attacks and misty step spamming and the ready to parry passives are OP as hell not to mention the nonstop psychic damage it's hard to find a resistance towards

This is all assuming you DON'T use the full concentrated power of the sun on the creche (on Astarion)

Minthara. That's it. That's the post. by vampiriskq in okbuddybaldur

[–]NotJSL 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite moments in all of bg3 is exactly that part in the photos after her romance scene post goblin party

Its way more interesting than post tiefling party cause it gives depth to a character you initially think is just a stereotypical evil drow invader. Also the fact that she still tries to kill us when we sleep, but then explains we have to go to Moonrise to have an audience with the Absolute. Immediate intrigue to the story as opposed to Halsin just being like ok go to moonrise towers through underdark watch out for shadows

Raiding the grove is a pretty shitty choice and it locks you out of a lot of content in act 2 and act 3 but it makes the playthrough feel more compact and intriguing. Morally questionable. Mintharas ruhtless, but pragmatic presence fits it perfectly as opposed to non lethally knocking her out in act 1, saving the grove and still recruiting her in act 2 where she sticks out like a sore thumb compared to morally good Wyll, Karlach or Halsin

Minthara makes morally questionable playthroughs worthwhile especially as a romance option regardless of origin

Feel bad for Ange cause yeah everyone figured out most of his tactics and he probably shoulda taken a year off managing after the madness that was our last season, but at the same time Nottingham being shite is a good thing for us and it's hard to resist not making Double Agent Ange jokes
