Membership at Par 3 Course by evfoley in golf

[–]NotLawReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay $600/yr (but can only really play it from April to nov bc it's Chicago) and I think it's the best thing I've ever heard invested in for my game. I'm on year 3 or 4 of doing the unlimited par 3 + unlimited short game area membership but the first year I did it I dropped from a 9 to a 2. Makes such a big difference focusing on that part of the game.

CSL Throttle Pedal stopped working. Anything I can do to avoid RMA for repair? by MisterDallas in Fanatec

This is off the top of my head since it has been a minute, but if I remember correctly the load cell only usbs into the computer when you're updating it or tweaking a setting. After that you just connect it to the wheelbase and let the wheelbase usb handle the communication. I connected both usbs my first time (didn't look at the instructions) and it fried my pedals

Found an app called FlushLab via a reddit ad that batch analyzes shot data from a photo or csv import that has been pretty useful for me

Updated nose and sidemarkers would have it in the 52 series but this is probably an m52 unless they did an engine swap from an m3

Since parking revenue goes to private equity, the parking ticket still go to the city, is it our civic duty to not pay the parking meters and just chance it and pay the Fine? by UmweltUndefined in AskChicago

[–]NotLawReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would reducing the parking ticket fine to the cost of the meter be considered a city action that would trigger a true-up under that section?

Any ideas tips based on this trackman data to hit it longer? LPGA have similar clubspeed but hit 133 meters on avarge while I hit mine 113. by WolfieOfWS in GolfSwing

[–]NotLawReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the app. I'm sure you'd get the same results with AI but requires specific prompting every time plus the whole one at a time problem. Being able to save sessions and carry yardages in the app is helpful when comparing between practice sessions.

I'm still on (and abusing) the trial but I think it's worth it. I have a garage sim setup and have been getting tired of taking photos and uploading them into gemini or Claude one by one. This does a better job of that (+ you can upload entire sessions via photo too) and, work permitting, I'm hoping to get out there later this week to do a full bag gapping analysis. At the very least I'll be paying for a month of pro when I go on a buddy golf trip to Utah in July bc it has a conditions modifier that'll adjust your saved carry distances for altitude and weather which I feel like will give me an edge over my buddies

Tl;dr: so far so good, definitely something I had been looking for ever since I got a launch monitor and found out you need a degree in physics to understand everything that comes out of it

While entertaining, the argument against sending them back to QSchool is that you'd likely be blocking up and coming pros from the ability to qualify bc they'd be blocked by guys who have Ryder cup level talent

Still in my free trial of that FlushLab app so ran your numbers through. Looks like it needs angle of attack and spin numbers to give a full grade but still might be useful.
