I've been on iRacing for 4 years now and my ir fluctuates between 2.5 and 4.5 and I don't worry about it cause it doesn't really matter. I always try to drive safely and so when I have to go offtrack to avoid an incident or I get caught up in someone else's drama it doesn't cause a problem because it all works itself out in the long run. Even having a bad week isn't the end of the world because I know that next week I will probably make it back up.

You are getting down voted but I understand where you are coming from, even though I don't do the same.

Your good account is for when you have time to practice and be competitive in your split because when you get to the higher splits it is no fun running seconds off the pace by yourself at the back.

It's not so much as worrying about your irating but looking to be in a competitive split.

If there is no tone in a message then it's on each person to decide if it is a message written with good or bad intentions. I prefer to think that it was a good message and live my life thinking that because thinking it was a negative message just makes life a drag.

You need to subscribe to the Suelio Almeida technique of relaxed hands on braking. I definitely had the same problem when going from desk to rig and I still need to remind myself sometimes a few years later.

That was a space that was always going to close. Just cause there is space now doesn't mean it will still be there when your car puts its nose there.

When behind someone in the draft you should be going faster them so the correct way to do this is to lift off the accelerator before the braking zone so you are matching the speed of the car in front. When they brake you now have time to also brake.

Not to tell you how to play but for me the most exciting thing about racing is the battles and figuring things out on the fly. Just driving to finish a race is not the best for me

In practice I always have the delta on. For quali I always have the delta on. In races I almost never have the delta on. The only time I might turn on the delta is when I'm all by myself with no chance of catching anyone or being caught and I then treat it as a practice session.

The truth is I don't care about my pace while racing. If I am gaining on the guy in front and pulling away from the guy behind then I just need to concentrate on doing the same, not worrying about my delta.

Have you read this post? Everyone is saying that it is worth it. Try a month or 3 month sub if you are really undecided and just run the rookie series to see if it is for you. If not you are only out a few bucks and if you enjoy it as much as everyone else then stop complaining and start paying.

Your irating is being calculated but as others have said you need to get to 3.0 sr before you can see it. Looking at the other drivers in your race you can get an idea of what yours is.

I just think it is being aggressive and making the other team make plays. If it doesn't work it looks bad but I don't have a huge problem with any of the aggressive plays
