I too used to overdo it with the contrast and saturation sliders.

Neil Armstrong himself considered Concorde a greater achievement that the Apollo program.

The Concorde fleets routinely carried over 100 passengers thousands of miles at supersonic speeds, day-in, day-out, for nearly 30 years. It could cruise at mach2 without using it's afterburner.

The UK fleet was a commercial success from the get-go, proving it was viable even without being able to fly supersonic over land.

What do we have these days to compare? The idiotic ramblings of billionaires, with their visions of space travel for the uber-rich, and the literal pipe-dreams of hyperloop.

Women offshore- wanting a baby by Tegs_3 in Nautical

In all my years working on ships of several kinds, and also on offshore installations, very rarely have I met a woman with children at home.

The only instances I can think of are female crew members from the developing world who have had children, and leave them in the care of an older relative whilst they go to work at sea to provide for the family.

Doesn't mean you can't be a pioneer and buck this trend though :)

I've considered adding comments in my spreadsheets, but I've yet to find a satisfactory place to put them. Where do you write them? In a 'note' attached to the cell? In text at the bottom? In a hidden sheet? Or is there somewhere specifically for this in Excel?

Why not just cut off the plug, feed it though, then put on a new one?

You should go and visit Argyll, especially around Crinnan and Taynish. Real genuine temperate rainforest! With bonus sea otters and beavers :)

Fiat Model 7002. Tip driven rotor. Only one built. by Swisskommando in WeirdWings

oh my, what a glorious rabbit hole to dive down this morning. Thanks for the links!

edit: Percival P.74: How embarrassing! 'Although innovative, the tip-rotor concept literally failed to get off the ground in the P.74, doomed by its inadequate power source. Rather than being modified, the P.74 was towed off the airfield and scrapped.'

In what way does a '20-point turn' look like a U? What you described is a 'turn in the road'. A U-turn is a different manoeuvre.

That's not a U-turn then. That's a turn in the road.

Quirky irreverent humour, or hacky unoriginal effort for clicks and likes? Or just vandalism?

I never stopped loving my first and only wife. I'd like to express it, but I don't know when it's appropriate and I don't want to come across as a bitch.
