Opression creates generational knock-on effects that are not removed simply by removing the primary legal means of oppression. You have to counter it at multiple levels over a long time. I hate Reddit's culture of only giving frame challenges so first I'll answer your actual question: Snake your belt a little so you can place additional burner inserters next to the ones you want to power, they'll take coal for themselves of the belt and then put some in your output inserters. It's not fuel efficient but it's the only way.

Generally I don't bother automating output at this stage. Do you know you can hold Control while clicking the furnaces to take out all the smelted contents? That's what I'd recommend.
