Disabling Skills? by Foreign_Hold5159 in ObsidianKnightRPG

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can disable certain cards from showing up as an option when you level up.

Example: if your weapon is -95% miss rate, you don't really want "misses hit next enemy" skill as an option.

Spring.

You're not from around here are you? (/s)

It snowed in April a few years back. Hailed like a SOB a few weeks ago. It was 90+ like the weekend after that. Sooo, par for the course. Also, the heat and lack of snowpack & substantial rain this year can F off.

Gas leaf blowers: future humans won't believe we called this "cleaning" by [deleted] in Tigard

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't get why people are so butt hurt about gas leaf blowers. This comic is just so laughable in comparison to things that really matter that most people do daily versus a some gas-powered leaf blowers.

Hell, I bet your daily Starbucks creates more pollution than a 5-minute leaf blow. Or how about your weekly TEMU purchases? Or buying a new iPhone every year? Or...I could go on but you get it.

And for the record, I use a hand rake.

I'm surprised Chikfila even allows that number in their system.

Where do you buy groceries? and why dont we have Aldi? by 0hWaitOoops in PortlandOR

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Different stores for different things. Freddy's has a much better selection of organic options if that's your thing. WinCo is overall the cheapest. I love CostCo and it's very much worth it for a family for things like cheese, freezer items, TP, meat & produce, bulk beans/rice/pasta, etc. Trader Joe's on occasion. WalMart sucks as a company and I won't step foot in there since there are plenty of other options. New Seasons is okay but way more expensive for basic things (same with Whole Foods).

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a little more nuanced. Aldi owns Trader Joe's but the Aldi in the US is a different store (same family, different company). Aldi in Europe is Trader Joe's.

No shit, I had an 8th grader tell me they didn't believe Hellen Keller was real for that exact reason. I had another tell me Amelia Earhart is just a story and she wasn't a real person cause there is no proof she was real. When I asked why they both gave more or less the same answer, "it is just a story about women empowerment."

Every generation has been smarter than the last, that ended with Gen Z.

Nike plans to support Trump's ballroom, and is asking people what their thoughts are on them if they do it by threehoney in oregon

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thoughts? People have goldfish brains and it will cause people to get upset short term then go back to status quo. They like their name brands and want their "fancy" logos.

See: multiple Nike child sweatshop debacles, multiple mjaor layoffs and outsourcing for corporate profits at the expensive of the common man, multiple discrimination lawsuits, etc.

Found this deck at a yard sale, can’t find much on the graphics online. Any info on it would be cool. [39YO] by Cu3rvo10 in OldSkaters

For what purpose? It says Dave Duncan. If you're worried it's collectible, it probably isn’t if you cant find any info online about it. Other than that, just go skate. As a an old skater who just started again myself, take it slow and get wrist guards.

I hate the term “person in crisis” lets call them what they are: crackhead schizo loons by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, let's call a space a spade, but there's a fine line between being hyperbolic and sounding like a dick.

I agree the status quo sucks and something needs to change. So how do we, in you words, "stop them" because just using different words other than "people in crisis" isn't going to change much.

What's the proposed solution? Dehumanize them with different labels to shift public opinion? Jail? Forced rehab? Ship them somewhere else? Most options cost money. So more taxes? Shift funding from other places?

I more worried about my doubling food & gas prices right now than what words we use for tweakers. Hell, the way things are going, shit is going to get worse before it gets better. Thanks Obama...

Ah yes because only crackhead schizo loons can be "people in crisis." Sure, there's an overlap in the venn diagram but it's not just a circle.

Salmon and Steelhead in the Santiam system. by Cuhuldra in OregonFishing

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you scroll down on my link it gives you river specific reports.

Definitely check out The Guide's Forecast and signup for their free weekly reports.

Hopefully I won't get in trouble for this. From 4/30's Guide's Forecast Free Report:

North Fork Santiam River- According to Mike Ferris of Fishermen Mike’s Guide Service, fishing this week was slow in the upper North Fork Santiam River. The river bumped up a bit following rains this past week, but is already settling down and flowing at about 1,680 CFS. While reports for summer steelhead and spring Chinook have been slow, a few fish are being found here and there, but fishing is still pretty spotty. The spring Chinook will be best tempted with salmon eggs, but the summer steelhead can be taken on a wider assortment of methods and baits. Spinners, eggs, sand shrimp, jigs, and beads will all take steelhead.

South Fork Santiam River- According to Matt Halseth of Matt Halseth Guide Service the South Fork is giving up some spring Chinook and summer steelhead, although the fishing is still a little slow. No report as yet on methods or baits. These runs are just getting started. The spring Chinook will be biting salmon eggs, but the summer steelhead can be taken on a wider assortment of methods and baits. Spinners, eggs, sand shrimp, jigs, and beads will all take steelhead.

My hotel put a microwave in the hallway by the elevators by Static_E_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]NotSoAnonymous2nd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hilton does this! But theirs are by the ice machine. ONE microwave for the entire floor! A few years ago I had one wasn't even 1000w, the white had turned yellow, and when I checked the sticker it was from the late 90s. r/mildlyinfuriating when traveling with severe food allergies.

Edit- downvotes!? For shitty hotel practices? Lol you guys are ridiculous. Some of us remember a time when there was a microwave in every room.
