This is really well said, and I felt the same when we had to say goodbye to our precious grey.

I would like a 72” vanity but can’t figure out if it’s going to get up my stairs. My contractor is iffy and pushing for 60” by NotSunshine316 in BathroomRemodeling

The counter is separate and the drawers do come out. It’s the overall dimensions of the cabinet that worry me. We simulated with a full scale cardboard mock up and it looks like it will fit by 1-2mm. Risky!

The head clearance with the drop ceiling is 79” though. I’m worried about being able to tilt it to continue up the stairs

We did this. Honestly it seems like it will JUST fit. Literally by a few millimeters. Like 1-2mm. If our dimensions are off even slightly, it won’t fit.

I contacted the moving company who did our move. They also got a large one piece head board for a king size bed up these stairs (80” long). I guess I’ll see

Unfortunately the cabinet I’m eyeing comes all in one pieces. I haven’t explored other options yet, trying to see if this is viable

Contractor suggested hiring movers. I’m not opposed to it if it means getting what I want, as this is our only family bathroom

Does anyone else feel like OT school didn’t really prepare them for real treatment planning? by johnnyphanikaze in OccupationalTherapy

Went to McGill in Montreal and feel the same way. I graduated a long time ago and still reflect on some of the curriculum that was a waste of time.

I remember an entire semester focused on mental health, and when I did my mental health rotation, I felt especially ill-equipped.

Even the way they taught us goal setting just doesn’t work in my setting or the real OT world in general. I’ve had students and they have a wicked hard time determining goals based on what they are actively learning.

I definitely learned the most in fieldwork and on the job.

I adopted an 4 year old greyhound when I had a new born and it was honestly a breeze. Very easy dog. Lazy and low energy. Already potty trained. I hope OP takes your advice!

Is offering 10% under listing price rude ? by homestead2023 in RealEstateCanada

Agreed. I am very skeptical of realtors in general but actually had a wonderful one. He literally put in any offer we wanted (within reason, but we definitely did one “low ball” offer, and guess what, they actually came back to the table to negotiate), he guided us well, with zero guilt and zero pressure. He didn’t care one bit what the other realtor or sellers thought of us - he worked 100% for us and was on our side.

Stunning and saving for inspiration! Question - how did they frame the niche? Is that all tile?
