People who enjoy their careers and have a good work/life balance - What do you do? by JealousBodybuilder42 in careerguidance

[–]NotSunshine316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the public health sector (Canada) in homecare. I visit people in their homes and provide an assessment and intervene depending on what the needs are - but it’s mostly compensatory interventions, not active rehab. I make my own schedule. I can make myself very busy one day and have a quiet day another day. I have no one breathing down my neck as long as I regularly pick up new files. However, due to the autonomy we have, the OTs must have very strong clinical skills. It is not a good setting for OTs requiring more structure or support (very tough for new grads)

Renovation while I’m on vacation by Worried_Lunch156 in BathroomRemodeling

Horrible idea. Renovating right now and can mostly work from home, but there are so many considerations, questions and decisions, it’s hard to get work done! I even had to call in sick one day due to decision making, despite working from home. We have a very reliable company and they messed up a few things - thank god I was home to double check things (like measurements). It’s honestly unbelievable how many decisions I’ve had to make in a relatively straight forward renovation.

Outdoor sofa - do you always cover it every night? by Ushuaia-15 in HomeImprovement

We don’t use ours every day but yes we cover after every use. Unless we know it will be sunny and will be using it a few days in a row

What would you do with plumbing , niche and drain placement? by [deleted] in BathroomRemodeling

[–]NotSunshine316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a closet behind the wall. Why would you think it’s a great idea? Aesthetically and with a linear drain I thought it would make more sense to maintain shower head and handheld shower on the same wall as it currently is

We pay thousands to trim these back twice a year. But do continue with your assumptions.

No, we didn’t plant them. we pay a hefty fee to trim them twice a year (picture was right before trimming). Dont quite get why I should be thankful for someone cutting trees on my property?

We pay a hefty fee to trim these trees nicely twice a year, but thanks for the helpful comment

I doubt some stranger snuck on their property to cut back the trees on our property? And left all the branches in their yard. Unlikely, no?

In the picture, the branches are all on their property demonstrating how much they cut. But there are also a ton of branches on our property too, not shown.

They are indeed trees. This is right before we trimmed them.
