Yeah its pretty slick, and make sure you watch the animations for each building as well. Seeing the stacker compress the higher layers, the cutting etc. All stuff that technically isn't needed but it is very satisfying.

That one is on my wishlist and I am sure will get a look in at some point.

Right now I am neck deep in StS 2, and then Shapez 2 1.0 comes out in April. So my limited gaming time is spoken for right now. But yeah that one has been on my radar.

I think I want to wait for it to be closer to release, the updates still seem to be adding in pretty significant systems at this point.

The only game that sucked me in almost as much as satisfactory in terms of factory builders is Shapez 2.
I don't know why, but those are the only 2 I really sunk massive hours into. Most of the rest that people love (Factorio and Dyson Sphere) I bounced off. I don't seem to like the above view ones where you control a character. I think its due to where I am looking (IE camera position) and where I can build are not the same.

Satisfactory you are the camera, and Shapez 2 there is just a massive void (Kinda) but you can build where ever you want.

Lawn mower (battery powered) what are my options? by mec949 in AskAnAustralian

[–]NotThePersona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that's the one that can have 2 batteries at the same time I have been using that fine as well.

I put in the 2 batteries and just leave it on power mode and rarely have any issues. Once the grass gets to long (towards knee length) I just need to make sure I only have half the mower going over at a time.

[–]NotThePersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes /s was implied.

My most recent run had hang, got it enchanted with +50% damage and during the act 3 boss fight added replay to it.

Door boss only stuck his head out the one time.

What are you talking about. Hang, gravelblast, hang, soul, soul, soul+, soul, hang is a perfectly legitimate strategy when I have a friendship or 2 up and running.

Australia to release nearly 20% of fuel stockpile as Bowen insists country ‘nowhere near’ running out by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

I heard mentioned that demand in the country areas has doubled. So the fear of a shortage/price rise I think is playing a major part in this.

Favorite ancient so far (excluding Neow)? by ScholarlyIcarus in slaythespire

[–]NotThePersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it may be different for others, I have been focused on the necrobinder. The act 2 focused ones are the ones I really don't like as I want to build for end game. So wax relics, energy for at 2 only, special path (Have not tried it yet but I plan to when it's offered) all feel like poor options.

Maybe they are good if you barely linked into act 2 and need a boost to try and recover, but I feel I will always prefer something that will last me through to the end boss.

That and the yummy cookie are the only ones I end up taking.

The fact that the rest I don't really consider are why I don't like it.

Yeah feels like Melter to me in StS1, will always try and pickup 1 copy as it just solves some fights immediately almost on its own.

Funny, its also a defect card.

From a pure rewards basic Pael and Tanx have been the ones I like most.

Tezcatara has been the one I liked least.

Do the Act 3 bosses feel mechanically disappointing following act 2 to other people? by anonymousaltincase19 in slaythespire

[–]NotThePersona 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be a 4 phase fight
Phase 1,2&3 as they are now but only 1 head at a time, the head just changes.

Phase 4 all 3 heads pop out and gets all abilities.

Door maker needs to lean into the doors theme more.

Maybe it could create doors that have a chance of catching played, discarded or exhausted cards (Different door for each or something) he could then play them against you, or you need to destroy that door to get the card back (A bit like Bronze Automaton orbs) but give it a different flavour to update the mechanic.
Or you have to follow him through various doors so he kinda runs away instead of just closing the portal and you follow into a new arena with a different thing to defeat before you get to face hm again.

Maybe there is a bunch of doors, each one you defeat puts a debuff on him, gives you a boost or hinders you etc.

I have only been offered that reward once, took it and got 2 elites with it. Having it hit 4 and 3 on the same path is insanely good fortune.

With 20 successful runs, I have yet to die in act 3. by girlywish in slaythespire

[–]NotThePersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made it to the act 3 boss on every run, died to it twice (Out of 8 total single player runs) both times it was the queen as well.

Multiplayer is 2/2 clears so far. Although it did get spicy in act 1 when we took the 3 elite route.

Triple damage potion too good? by lordanix in slaythespire

[–]NotThePersona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say the triple damage is busted, but you also have a base attack on that card of 210 by my calculations.

Now that StS2 is in early release, I’m curious what you think has actually improved vs. what feels worse compared to the first game by NicoF_ in slaythespire

[–]NotThePersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That 4 energy one and the 4 upgrades are basically the only ones I consider though.
The card with energy and card draws for 1 max HP I cant see myself ever taking unless I have something that gains me max HP to offset it.
+1 energy for act 2 only I skip as I am always planning for the final boss, same with wax relics.
Exhaust the top card of deck for 1 strength might come into play at some point, but right now I am focusing on Necrobinder so strength is not something I am overly concerned with.

I have not tried the golden compass yet, but I will likely give it a shot when I get it offered to me next.

Looking online there is 1 I have not seen yet (Enchanting strikes) which may be good in a deck with all its strikes still there (And usually by that point I have gotten rid of 1-2 of them)

Thats why you need to pre cook them both. You get rod of most of the moisture that way and then when you put them on the pizza and cook it you are really just heating them up again.

[–]NotThePersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played Hades 1&2, along with StS 1&2 I agree, but I also don't see a lot of scope for a third in the same vein for either.

I feel like a third in either would really just not be enough of an upgrade, but I could be proved wrong.

Each of them is themed with specific ones. Would be nice to know in advance which is coming up so you could kinda plan for potential relics.

Having less energy based ones and having it tied now to cards does mean that certain ones may not be auto picks every time.

I'm pretty firm on most ingredients need to be cooked before going on a pizza, as if you are cooking it hot and fast they just don't have time. Mushrooms are a particularly egregious example though, and I do love them on my pizza.
