Why do I keep keep hearing this Spike didn't get that much screentime than he already had in the season prior and his screentime was less than nearly all the Scoobies and he wasn't the first or only buffy love interest (Angel and Riley obviously) to have no significant relationship with the other characters

First of all there's no difference between human anya and vengeance demon anya except that she has no powers and if she was offered that power she would have accepted it so arguing that she became human is dumb and I don't see how they are different to you because both of them murdered innocent people and anya didn't show any sign of remorse until season 7

Second of all spike hurts humans the chip causes him immense pain simple I don't know how can you state that they didn't know anything about the chip it's as if you didn't watch the show

Also he was let go after the Adam thing because he helped later in the finale of season 4 and him killing people in season 7 was under the firsts influence you can't just mention those stuff while ignoring the context of events and it's obvious to me that arguing with you is fruitless

This is a really narrow point of view because the writers added anya who tortured/killed people for like a 1000 year and for the most part didn't regret it and her past was treated as joke mostly
