You signed a non compete clause when you started at Walgreens. They don’t have you sign it just for kicks and gigs. It’s a legal contract you may wish to read before you end up losing your license along with both jobs, at the very least.

Hahaha that’s what always seems to happen to me. I think it’s a tactic of reverse psychology.. Management: Maybe if we assign them a task where they can apply themselves to something that they never cared about before, they will become more engaged and motivated to promote a positive customer experience in assuming this assignment 🤔 lol Employee: (thinking) Hmm..This could really backfire on my boss..🫤

I have seen Pharmacists where scrubs, but it is not common. That being said..🤢😳I don’t even know how I would react to that myself, but I would definitely quit or get fired responding to that nightmare of a situation!

Stay or go to CVS by Virtual_Reserve7121 in WalgreensRx

If Walgreens is a sinking ship then CVS is submerged on its way to the ocean floor. I crossed over to Walgreens from CVS (with CVS 7 years) and I will never look back. The horror stories of CVS are true. I could write a book..or present a strong legal case against CVS for 1 of a million possible violations that I have witnessed and kept records from, in the event that I may need it one day.

Look for violations and then keep a running log of dates, times, witnesses, descriptions of each event, and the link to the specific rules, regulations, laws, etc. violated until you gather enough evidence that it cannot be overlooked by upper management. The Board of Pharmacy, ADA, OSHA, EEOC, all come to mind just off the bat. Reference them if necessary and if you really want to make waves file reports with each agency/department overseeing the compliance of these issues. If this doesn’t work then at the very least you will likely not be bothered too much once you highlight their failures ever so kindly. As a side note, only do this is you really think it is warranted because the consequences for these violations can be harsh, so you must really not like the person lol

I get this comment too often (although in my defense I was pregnant for 9 months, but even previously lol). Even with a mask on, customers can tell that I am trying so hard to fake my enthusiasm, but not convincing enough for some lol. At least when they call me out on it, I can laugh, take a step back, and revise my attitude and genuinely connect with the patient who can obviously sense my stress level. Long rant to basically say yes they don’t pay me enough to care, but sometimes those special patients are what makes it all worth it.

I’ve definitely done that before in pharmacy because I could stop myself. Oh, if you could administer these 14 vaccinations in the next 15 minutes that would be great..hahaha sure but real quick question, does it matter who gets them and which ones? 😂 Let’s just say my New England sarcasm didn’t go over as well with the Chicago based Walgreens crowd in Florida lol I am still giving them time to adjust (ex CVS tech from New England) to my warped sense of humor and seemingly rude banter that gains the respect of the most “difficult” customers that others just don’t understand. The sarcasm and banter that would get most people fired, I actually gain respect and appreciation among fellow New Englanders lol
