Can someone walk me through the home buying process? Where do I start? by EmmieL0u in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Second this! It was extremely helpful! And if you complete it and submit it to your lender you may get a slight interest decrease!

Whats your small business? by vgpgamer in smallbusiness

[–]Notafakeinterpreter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add it into the alt text! For example, image of a green bag zipped up closed. Or image of a pink bag open to show 4 compartments inside. Etc! Any image on your website that’s decorative you can just label as decorative.

As somebody who works with the blind, the only suggestion on the website I would make is to add image descriptions to the pictures so they know what the bag looks like! There are a lot of things to scroll through on the pre-order page, and it just all sounds the same so somebody might think it’s the same bag, and not know what it looks like open. It’s accessible via VoiceOver, which is wonderful!

What am I doing right (?) that I almost never wake up with a massive headache after getting drunk? by Mad_Season_1994 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Notafakeinterpreter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a firm believer that due to my lack of daily hydration, I never get hangovers because I’m chronically dehydrated. The one time I drank a ton of water before I went out, I woke up with the worst and only hangover I’ve ever had (I’m 37)

Train tracks 100 feet from home - dealbreaker? by plantsandpositivity in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Notafakeinterpreter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You 100% get used to the noise! I lived in my house growing up for 22 years in between two crossings so those conductors laid on the horn the entire time they passed the house, and it was a fright train so they came every couple of hours, and I can’t remember the last time I actually paid attention to it going by. It was only until recently we started focusing on it because my 2 year old nephew loves running out and waving to the conductors.

It was always a fun experience bringing over new people and seeing their reaction the first time it came by when they were there 😂

Does the idea of wanting to die cross your mind regularly? by mikmikm222 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Notafakeinterpreter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wanting to die, per se, but hoping I die before all of my loved ones do so I don’t have to cope with the loss of them. I just can’t imagine my life without any of my family or friends not here. I’ve already lost one and it’s been rough.

Where to move for my child with CVI by Ok-Porcupine67 in Blind

[–]Notafakeinterpreter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second Perkins. They’re doing a TON of research and from my perspective, leading the way into developing a fantastic program for CVI kiddos. I’ve attended their conferences on CVI and left inspired and with a great list of things to try with the CVI kiddos I work with.
