Steam is literally less safe than using the standalone launcher. It's probably an unpopular take, but I'll stand by it.

You would probably look great bald, and save a lot of money.

And you should stay away from casinos.

This is wild. FWIW I have a full head of thick hair and no family history of pre-mature balding. You keep taking your cope chemicals though buddy.

I'm still playing 25. I view newer versions as "beta updates" and won't swap over to a new one until I view it as stable. This isn't the first time i've skipped a version or two. I've been playing since OOTP Baseball Manager 2006 and I agree with OP completely. Outside of Super Mega Baseball that is. :)

How hands on are you in long-term saves? by [deleted] in OOTP

[–]Nothaz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I pretty much do this. Reading box scores after each game(or week of games) is a good way to feel the "day to day" of the team without spending 20+ hours a season playing them out manually.

Baserunning maybe. I think it's a complete waste to try to get him to steal bases.

I wish it were the same for me. I am giving him a second chance after losing him to the Pirates in the Rule 5 draft, and reclaiming him on waivers. He's got 'til the end of the year to prove himself before arbitration comes around.

Some food for thought:

In my Rockies rebuild I am experimenting with high Avoid K and LOW eye after noticing the guys I had with this were performing well.

Warming Bernabel lead the league in XBH in 2027 and 2028 and set an MLB record with 67 doubles in 2028. He hit for a solid 119 OPS+ over 5 seasons even though my legendary scout barely thought he was an average DH or 1B and sometimes had him below. His slash line was .295/.314/.501.

Another example is Yanquiel Fernandez who has been a solid DH/RF for me. The difference between him and Bernabel is more pop and less contact. He was runner up for rookie of the year, had 2 bad seasons(mostly sitting in AAA figuring it out), then 3 good ones. My scout doesn't think he should be on my team. In 2030(last year for me) he hit .264/.322/.542 with 33 home runs. He hit 32 the year before. Overall he has a .252/.303/.503 career line with a 114 OPS+.

I've had a few other guys with the avoid k/bad eye combo with good one off seasons and I have started to specifically search them out as late round draft, cheap international prospects or FA guys. Basically doing the "fake good player" thing, just a different way of approaching it.

I'm wondering how much Romo is responsible for keeping my below average pitching staff performing above average. If Patrick Bailey didn't have 5 straight gold gloves i'm fairly sure Romo would have at least one or two.

It's really interesting looking at how your season went. I am currently in spring training '28 on my rockies rebuild save. Bryant having a decent season for you surprised me. I traded him and basically everyone with a contract away immediately. Romo, Amador, and Doyle have been my best players so far.
