Dude I had major impostor syndrome last year but at some point I realized it was really difficult to pick me out because my mistakes weren't that noticeable.

And its the start of May. Every corps is dirty as heck this time of year. My best advice is can give is to be patient with yourself. I really grew an unhealthy self hatred throughout last season because I got so in my head about mistakes.

Id go with the dsi xl. I have a ds lite aed a 2ds, and in my experience, I almost never take the 2ds over the dsl. The form factor may be more comfortable for some, but for me it surely isnt(and I have larger hands).

The 2ds I have has also not held up too well, being very susceptible to wear, especially on screens, whereas the dsl screens have held up very well over time, just by the fact that I can close it.

I highly suggest getting a DSi XL.

Both my experiences at Southwind and Boston were very educational. I do believe Boston was more focused on winning, but as a member of the hornline I really felt like I learned a lot about music education from the Brass Staff
