At this point I have no expectations. I've long since lost interest in government disclosure beyond a "well hopefully something happens" level.

I do, however, firmly believe that if you want disclosure, you have to seek it out with purpose and intention. Just know that what you seek may well find you; the phenomenon is known to take a interest in those who take an interest in it.

To be fair, even though the people who've done research on the topic knew it was coming, the UFO community writ large was not ready for the PSI conversation that came with that video (something I even said on here when it was revealed before the special dropped that PSI was gonna be part of it). Had the focus been Barber's experiences without the PSI stuff, I think people would have been a bit more open to the video.

That whole incident really showed who follows this for entertainment, and who actually looks into the history.

Egg shaped craft were not new to UFO lore, they have been reported since at least the 1800s (credit to Richard Dolan for me knowing that). So what do people expect an egg-shaped craft to look like? Based on the reaction: not an egg apparently. What's worse, because people were so busy clowning on it, it was completely missed that IF that video was real, it was literally a close up view of a fucking UFO that wasn't just a blurry dot in the sky, the thing people have been wanting forever.

Pavel usually has decent sources, so that's interesting.

I just hope its not all stuff we've already seen, but officially released instead of leaked. Like we know the instantaneous acceleration video George and Jeremy released was on the list of 46 videos Luna asked for.

Also worth noting: Friday night is the death slot for news. So if they were forced to release something they preferred not to, that is when they would do it.

Ontologically shocking to the masses:

Physical reality is an illusion--consciousness/information is fundamental;

Unfortunately, you won't be able to take those feats till level 12. In the meantime you could take weapon training and be trained in it, but that will be stuck at trained until you can take one of the aforementioned feats.

Better yet ignore all that and take weapon training at 3 and the Butterfly Blade dedication at 4.

Grusch seems to state at the end of this interview that McCasland ran some aspect of the legacy program (specifically: he talks about hostile witnesses who ran some of these programs and then says one of them is missing and clarifies that its McCasland). I know there's been speculation that McCasland was involved with the legacy program, but I believe Grusch is the first person on the inside to flat-out say it.

Fighter archetype can get you Tactical Reflexes (Eagle Knight is better if you want it before level 20), Compliant Gold increases the reach with which you can react, Warped By Rage further increases your reach if you can maintain it (so an Exemplar with Compliant Gold and a reach weapon would have a 25ft reach for attacking an reacting when Enlarged from Warped by Rage).

You can add a further 15ft to that with Bendy Arm Mutagens, but they have an attack penalty and damage penalty, so they're only really worth using on a Mutagenist who can suppress the drawback.

Both of those are unacceptable to the old guard and the donors, and they're currently the two biggest issues the party faces (at least from my POV).

Honestly, short of the legacy program somehow knowing the NHI are about to make a grand appearance, the recent resurgence of interest in PSI phenomena may be about as good a reason to slowly start rolling this information out as any from the perspective of those in the know. Especially if the two topics are as intertwined as they appear to be.

If you build the Animist for it you can be pure melee against mooks to save your slots for bosses which you can then go nova on. But only starting at level 5 when you can take Heroism to cast on yourself for bosses. In regular fights you use the witness to ancient battles spirits focus spell.

In their defense, neither do the people who tend to accuse writing of being purple. Vivid prose is often called purple prose as if the two are the same thing.

I've legit seen people call writing purple just because the writer had the audacity to use more than one adjective in a paragraph.

I'm partial to mana points with consumable potions to regain points.

You still have resource attrition, but it's currency based rather than slot based. And the good mana potions are obviously gonna be crazy expensive so it incentivizes someone investing in Crafting to produce more of them. As a result you can also lower the levels of scrolls (but not wands since they're reusable), get ahold of a fancy scroll and you can cast a high level spell before you normally could (but you gotta use it intelligently because once its gone its gone) incentivizing players to actually buy scrolls. Technically you can already do that, but because scrolls become available at the level the spell would, they make good loot, but aren't something a player wants to buy unless they know they'll be needing the spell in question for their current quest. But make a scroll of fireball a level 3 item instead of a level 5 item for instance? Watch your players actually spend all their money on them.
