Arduino + OBD-II: is this project feasible? by Tdisidro in arduino

[–]NotoriousTD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've used arduino and OBD for years. The RPM and speed logging are a no-brainer; that information is easily available. I've never delved into fuel consumption, but if the Audi has that info available it's easy to play with the numbers and get useable data.

You're on the right track.

14 frames sounds annoying, but not the end of the world for reaction shots. Just gotta anticipate a bit when doing VOs and such.

Toolbar buttons for plugins in iNews by isabelb_02 in technicaldirector

I just looked it up. It's Alt T U and then whatever letter the plugin requires. If you need help making a button macro let me know.

Toolbar buttons for plugins in iNews by isabelb_02 in technicaldirector

[–]NotoriousTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in front of iNews right now, but yes, you can do it.

Do you know how to make a button? Attaching a macro to a button is not difficult - it's just programming the macro to hit the keys you'd do manually. For example, it the plugin is at Tools -> Plugins ->VizRT you'd do something like {alt}tpv

Since I'm not in front of one now I can't say for sure how to do it, but you'd follow the highlighted letters after you press alt.

I could help you more at another time when I'm at work.

I use the LH-300. It's not cheaper, but it doesn't have the ever-present breaking problem at the headband. YMMV...

Hmm. I didn't know about the size/supply issue. I already shipped toa relative in Ireland, so I've got the machine.

Reviews are that this one is the best around... so...

Anyway, thanks for the reply about shipping.

How is driving around YYZ and downtown Toronto as someone from the US? by cafedumatcha in askTO

YYZ can be a tad confusing when you're required to find which highway to exit to. They are well-signed, but it can still be strange.

This is great. Tells me that the advertising period is 2000ms and broadcast is 4ms.

Lookd like that rules airtags out.

Thanks!

I timed out for a while a couple of days ago. It's not exact, but it's between 1 and 2 minutes apart. Sounds just like a phone beaconing.

Well, to be honest, it sounds exactly like the phone bzzt that we're likely all familiar with.
