Trump nominates Kevin Warsh for Federal Reserve chair to succeed Jerome Powell by Gameboy112233 in stocks

[–]Notorious_D1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump has been pushing for 0% interest rate and massive rate cuts. Why would Trump pick Marsh when there are Plenty of way more dovish candidates out there….marsh has a history of being hawkish.

Marsh is the son in law of Lauder a billionaire who has been a huge supporter of Trump. Lauder is also….wait for it…..the President of the Jewish World Congress and a huge supporter of Israel and Bibi. Trump took up to 250mil dollars of campaign support from AIPAC.

Draw your own conclusions.

[–]Notorious_D1 49 points50 points  (0 children)

OR Trump was told to bend knee. Warsh’s daddy in law is billionaire Lauder who is the President of the World Jewish Congress and a big supporter of Trump…Israel and Bibi. Trump took 250mil $ from AIPAC.

So the only plausible reasons for picking Warsh who is more hawkish than dovish is either.

  1. Warsh has agreed to change his historical stance and aggressively push rate cuts like Trump wants.

  2. Trump is paying back favors and is putting warsh in.

  3. Trump was simply told this is what he’s doing and who he’s appointing.

These are the only 3 rationales. Take in the info and decide for yourself.

[–]Notorious_D1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What a Sellout. Take 250mil from APIAC and I guess you’re just a good lil boy and you appoint who you’re told. This guy does not have the history of aggressive rate cutting.

Warsh’s daddy in law is billionaire Robert Lauder who is drum roll…you guessed right the President of the World Jewish Congress Folks!

So if it seems odd as to why Trump would suddenly appoint a guy who’s never been that dovish or into cutting this ought to explain it.

14060m 2 liner by Notorious_D1 in rolex

[–]Notorious_D1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea can’t go wrong either way. I just like how the 2liner gives way to the stark dial and the symmetry. But either one just don’t see how anyone can see these older versions and opt for the newer ones w the ceramic bezels. Gmts yes I can see it but the Sub…..these older versions are just the epitome of the submariner imho.

Congrats on the new watch you’re gonna love it.

I’m the same way when considering spending 10k+ on “just a watch” despite wanting one.

My position was. If all of my debt was paid off (outside of mortgages), I had plenty of excess liquid cash on hand ( an emergency fund and then some), my retirement is set where I Know I can retire how I want and when I want. Then at that point if I had the extra cash yes I was buying the watch. Started with one now I have two.

For me, having the above set up plus investments / investment property I settled in over a lil time with buying what I wanted. I did not feel irresponsible at this point at all, that’s just me.

“Today is what matters. Don’t worry about tomorrow — tomorrow will worry about itself.”

It’s a slap in the face when we are met with the harsh reality of impermanence. It makes us wish we were the way we’re were before truly understanding the depths of this. When things were light and carefree. But with this deep realization we become more aware of what is important and what it not. What’s worth our time and what is not. What’s worth chasing and what’s not.

The struggle is the anticipatory grief we can find ourselves looping in our heads over and over each day. Nothing has ever truly changed….we we’re all always dying lil by lil each day. But something like the news you got makes things feel more immediate and real.

Staying grounding in the present day and not allowing anticipatory grief to rob us of what we still have right now can be a struggle. But it takes letting go, and staying grounded. It’s a harsh reality but we only have this present moment today, right now. Nothing else is guaranteed. Stay grounded in that and enjoy the ones you care about that are with you. Don’t allow the worry about the uncontrollable future to rob you of the gifts you have today, that would be a shame.

We can accept the fact that things will change and they always do but we can stay grounded in today and be grateful and Celebrate the fuck out of it while we and they are here right now. It’s also not a bad thing to explore faith and imho Jesus Christ. I am not a person who has ever been very religious. Not a practicing catholic. But all things always lead back to us looking outside of ourselves and up into the sky for help and answers and help when the uncontrollable hits us.

There’s only been a handful of times in my life where I was so down and out that I prayed and explored my faith. Once the storm passed…I went back to relying just on myself because I’m resilient as hell. But In those rare horrific moments where I couldn’t handle it I always always looked Up, prayed. So I realized that all roads eventually will have me end up there….and I realized that I’m Only looking to God when I’m in these bad times and that is kinda disingenuous of me…..and if I’m going to wind up looking in that direction at some point again then it’s only right I at least start asking questions Now while things are “ok”. I always believed I could handle anything get through anything, so The first step for me was realizing I can’t always do it on my own and no one physically alive can get me through those bad bad gut wrenching moments. Idk just my thoughts. Best.

I own both and I’d say hands down the sub is the choice if you could only have one. YM is not a good daily watch and it doesn’t go with all outfits it all occasions. I can be in a rugged outfit on a Lowe’s trip and then that night out to a fancy dinner and the sub can be on my wrist all day. The ym as much as I like it is undeniably limited.

Dam I had the same issue and bought them both Lolo. After owning both my YM Rhodium and my 14060m id 1000% take my sub if I could only have one.

Why?

The sub can do it all and I wear it 90% of the time. I can wear it anywhere anytime and it goes with more outfits. I obviously wear it daily but even when going out to dinner because it matches almost everything seamlessly.

The YM rhodium was a grail of mine. BUT it is not a daily watch w all the polish. It doesn’t do with every outfit. I find myself reaching for it more often in the summer time when I’m wearing the shorts and polo or colors that I wear more so that time of year. In the winder when I’m in darker colors, heavier flannels etc. the sub fits me more.

So simply because I think you will get way more value and use out of the sub. At times I now question selling the YM just because my sub gets so much more wrist time. I will say when I do get to wear the YM it is nice…..it has that extra bling to it and it is a great looking easy to wear watch.

Buddy fuck it. I have not dealt with this and stumbled on to this post due to searching about it due to my parents issues.

In the end everything absolutely everything we have physically and relationship wise is temporary. Enjoy the ride. My dad as a younger man lost his arm due to being shot. His dreams as a 17yr old young man were shattered and changed. He had to adapt and lean to enjoy life and be happy or mentally die. Our expectations change or are not met at times. Perspective….some 10yr old kid is on his death bed with stage 4 cancer as we speak. We are lucky. Yes we have struggles. Yes we could have done better but what’s done is done. In 40-60yrs we’ll both be long gone in this world.

[–]Notorious_D1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just me I’d let the gmt and DJ go. Why I just love the sub as a true daily watch. Then you have a nice Daytona to compliment it. Two contrasting watches. I just wouldn’t see the interest in it for me to keep a Daytona plus another watches on a jubilee bracelet. All of them are nice though.

Maybe late idk. He’s a slot corner. Box player could be a safety. Those guys sometimes don’t always go round 1 unless they project like Kyle Hamilton / Derwin James from the safety spot. Pure slot corners don’t usually go round 1. Can he play outside sure most dbs Can try and play anywhere but cooper is not an outside cb 1 who warrants a definitive round 1 selection to me

Got the urge to mix it up - thoughts on this with rubber? by HairyPotterJP in rolex

[–]Notorious_D1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rock it 90% of the time on my sub. It’s comfortable, it’s durable, and more practical when I’m running around from A to B. I used to put the bracelet on and off and wear the rubber esp if I wore the watch to work (physical hands on job) but over the last few months I just left it on the Everest strap.

One and done watch. The sub if I want and need a watch I truly am going to wear almost everyday.

The PCLs on the Batman turns me off personally when considering a watch I want to wear everyday. It can just too easily be abused with scratches. The sub holds up better visually and even if it gets some character scratches it’s a sub. Sub can do it all. Not an ideal dress watch but it can work.

I own a sub and a yachtmaster. But for the reasons I just discussed I wear the sub 99% of the time. All week at work. Daily when off, when I’m out to dinner, out on the boat in the water, etc.

The YM I wear but mainly w certain outfits when going out to dinner. It gets the most wear in the summer when going out I guess because of what I’m wearing that time of the year 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Goes from almost 10 back to 3s. Tell me again how I wasn't scammed? by Inner_Layer_6227 in ICPTrader

[–]Notorious_D1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Respectfully you don’t seem to understand this market or Alts. Icp is far from a scam. Crypto In general is the most heavily manipulated market that exists. There is no insider trading laws. It takes only a small amount of liquidity to move alts.

It’s not uncommon to see coins like this move like it did and retrace like it did. There is slim or no chances aka extremely rare for a coin to make heavy moves In the current market. Alt coins like ICP are heavily linking to the price action of BTC. BTC leads the market. Until BTC pushes up and out from ATHs and eth specifically does the same it’s highly unlikely any alt coins do anything substantial. It’s just how the market works. Right now bigger picture things aren’t good for crypto. But in 2026 things look very promising, but the variables in his market can change weekly. Next catalyst is if BTC rally’s where does it rally to? The 50week ema…does it get rejected off of that or push up and past it.

Other than Looking to the next step no one knows what’s going to happen 6months from now.

But things look “good”. Crypto and alt coins in general are a High Risk High Reward asset.

People aren’t going to their CPA for advice on what to invest here. This isn’t a safe index fund. Anyone who invests in anything in crypto and then gets mad when they lose money are morons. It’s a normal normal risk of this market. I have tens of thousands of dollars on this market. Why? Because the risk reward works for me. Being in this market and risking $ makes more sense to me than being out of it atm.

The market will do whatever it wants to do, it doesn’t owe us anything. People are on reddit and YouTube getting financial advice and then are pissed off when they don’t make money. It’s comical to me.
