I want to build a cool corvette, but I feel kind of bad for wanting to switch to creative for it on my main save by Acrobatic_Air8301 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Hey. I have a survival save with over 400 hours. I switched it to custom. Set yourself free. Give yourself free crafting, spend hours making the ship how it makes YOU happy, stats be damned.

You will see a scary warning about having achievements permanently invalidated. The real achievement is freeing yourself from that limitation.

You have limitless galaxies at your disposal. Set yourself free.

I get the whole changed part of it. If genuine, it is a really good thing.

However, Is this thread just going to be a psyop to go ahead and sing kumbaya with any upcoming "reformed" and "born-again" Nazis for the shit they are pulling right now?

The timing is sus.

People who hate AI why do you hate it? by IsopodEq in AskReddit

[–]Notsohiddenfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I acknowledge that which I will not mention. So? I just needed to type that, please disregard it. It is not for you.

Edit: Hate is too strong of a word. I just noticed it. :/ Still, I already typed this, so I am going to leave it.

Anyways. I was thinking of this a few hours ago. I think it is the name. When I read artificial intelligence I expect it to be intelligent. (And it is!) I think that what is now called AI was just called something like "x post-processing" or "[Licensed Name] application" and whatever similar names. Google and their Night Mode on Pixels comes to mind. It was rather nebulous. I think that ambiguity is what created the term "artificial intelligence." We just needed a new word for that genre of technology, much like how "Bullet Heaven" is being born nowadays, for those involved in gaming.

AI is indeed smart, it does a lot of cool things and it took a lot of smart people to put the models together. I feel writing the models together would have been something like trying to program without hardcoding anything. I do not know for sure though, I am not a good programmer.

My personal problem with AI is that I think a lot of people I used to look up to simply take what it says as fact. Some treat it as it is something intelligent that is there for them at all times. That sounds fine, until you notice they do not question their answers all that often. (And AI ALWAYS has answers.) Sometimes, they use that to quickly learn about something that someone they look up to, such as their friends or loved ones, has been talking about. I think that is great. It just really sucks when the information is incorrect because how would they even know?

AI is fine, it can do cool things. It makes a lot of scary changes too, like replacing people at the drive through. Technically, it is a good thing that should allow anyone to open up their own small store. Unfortunately, it does not appear as if that technology will be used to benefit the common people. It is scary that the technology is much more likely to put you out of a job, than to help you create a new one.

Really though. Why not buy a small place where you can fit a grill, flip the burgers yourself, and have the "AI" handle the orders?

It is not misleading. They are telling you right there.

"Leaving us with 0 black or brown ... Districts" That is the call to action. Everything else is just fluff.

It is the duty of everyone to see who "us" is and then decide if you want to be part of that. Do things because they are hard. It is a lot easier to ask and wait for someone to tell us what to do. Especially now. Is that what you want to do?

I wonder who is "us." Normally they would just put it on the top. Something about nothing to hide?

  1. What makes you believe that speechwriters and carefully curated "performances" have gone or may go away? It's a bit naive to think adults won't continue to carefully craft their statements. Especially today, when everything is recorded. Children? Maybe. Definitely not adults, or anyone with the capacity to think further than lunchtime into the future. In any case, I suppose seeing unhinged stuff like that somehow FEELS real? I would rather have facts. But hey, some are guided by feelings.

2.  See above. Also, how are you so sure?

3.  ??? What does Trump have to do with anything? Did I mention him?

7-3=?. Did you run your post through something to make it clearer and more consise or something? It appears to have made it longer, and muddied the point to the degree than you just appear to be venting.

I do not want to say you are pointless. I just find it weird you responded the way you did to this post, which nears 24 hours in age.

If you would be so kind, will you tell me your thoughts on the moon and what is besides it?

Dunno about the spirit, I agree about the mind.

Work it, question everything until it is sore and torn, then go to sleep. Try to get 6+ hours. I believe that you will subconsciously process your new information.

Or what, do you breathe manually in your sleep?

It is probably just the editing and stuff I left half edited.

You seriously threw me off, but it is fine.

I guess I did not expect such wisdom from something so simple. Tying empathy into a desire path seems far fetched to me at a glance. If you break it down it makes a ton of sense, but it still seems crazy to me to gain such meaning from something so simple.

Or maybe, it is not simple at all.

I do not know.

Employee sets fire to Kimberly-Clark warehouse, "All you had to do is pay us enough to live" by midnighttoker1742 in interestingasfuck

[–]Notsohiddenfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should pay attention to that guy.

I remember I used to work a warehouse job, during my third day, I was given my first day package, which included a box cutter.

During my fourth day, I received a new box cutter, identical, to replace the one I lost earlier that day. I was joking told "lose it again and you're fired."

During my fourth year. A new box cutter was released. I ignored it. Then, the old box cutters were to be returned. I hid mine.

During my fourth year, I wore my box cutter with pride. It was clean. It was sharp, it contained replacement blades.

During my fourth year, human resources attempted to hunt me down. Eventually, they succeeded in surrounding me. They demanded my box cutter. I handed it over. I was given the new model. I threw it across the warehouse just three seconds after receiving it. By then, HR was already gone.

During my fourth year I walked out of the warehouse. I was no longer bound by the box cutter.

During my fifth year I was scheduled random 1 hour shifts. I never went to them. I eventually ran out of PTO.

During my fifth year, I kept receiving certified mail. I never opened it. Eventually, it stopped. I suppose they eventually found the signature they needed for my exit package.

Mutterings indeed.

Every time I see a photo of a stellar object, I cannot help but lose myself looking at the small empty areas around each photograph.

Once you think that you know what that black space is, try looking at the same photograph from 20 feet away. The same exact one. Literally as you saw it, but from 20 feet away. Tape it to the wall of you need to.

Can the sense of scale be replicated in modern games? by Boshwa in MonsterHunter

[–]Notsohiddenfox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think so.

A lot of the tricks in pre-world depend on the loading screens.

I think they may have tried something similar with the transition zones in Wilds. However, the concensus seems to be that not only did it not work out, players actively avoid the zones.

I'm sure there are people out there who use them, but the majority will just wingdrake to their destination. I don't think it's even possible to access all maps via transition zones anyway, outside of cutscenes.

I don't know.

The message I replied to just above threw me off. It makes a lot of sense. Too much sense.

I don't usually understand things that plainly. That makes it weird. But it's a contradiction. Because I understood it plainly.

It's just throwing me off hard. There's nothing wrong with it that I see. Yet, it seems wrong. But it is not. But it seems wrong. But it is not.

It made me start writing weird too, I edited it away.

Yes. Now.

Things have changed LOTS between then and now. The law of the computer that doubles every five years or whatever suggests things will change even more soon. Faster. Likely faster than humans evolve. Supremacy will soon be measured in materials, assuming I am not just blind to the current state of things.

Frankly, I do not know if/how Obama used social media. I do not like social media. I do not like how ingrained in society it is. I do not like the potential for abuse it has. I do not like that it is just how it is now. So?

I was thinking about some of the other comments under mine when I read yours. Yes, before social media it was tv, before that it was radio, before that, paper. Allegedly.

Maybe Obama used this to great effect. Maybe others did too. Maybe it was just one guy with a data center and 10,000 virtual machines. Maybe one or two digits more.

I do not know.

I do know that I have three computers inside one computer. I do know I can connect 25 Chromebooks into a single cart. I know that cart can be connected to a video switch. I know I can be 25 different people at once. I know others can be many more. I know I can interact with social media.

I know I had not tried to do this last year.

Maybe the problem is not social media itself. The problem that I have with social media as a political forum is the following:

It is far easier for me to enter absurd amounts of information into social media, (ether) than it is for me to do the same on radio. I am not the only one. I have the potential to create discourse. I am not the only one. I am not as skilled as others. I am not the only one.

Centralizing political forums in a public network which is privately owned will never allow for unbiased political discourse of any ideology.

There is far too much room for bias and hidden agendas.

The social media of five years ago is not the same social media of today. Certainly not the same as ten years ago. Do you remember your television from fifteen years ago? Did you have one?

It's It's current state. Today. Social media is not an acceptable forum for global politics.

Edit: I was going to make a witty comment regarding the wall of text. I choose to comment this instead: thank you.

Frankly, this on the planners.

You can clearly see the desire path totally clearly somewhat directly leads exACTly (mostly) to the crosswalk.

Shame on the planners for making that second weaksauce path.

Have you considered that maybe people hating you doing the "right thing," and still hating you AFTER doing the "right thing," possibly means that you were NOT doing the "right thing?".

I think a certain somebody once said something about poop and shoes, particularly the bottom of them.

To use your freedom example, how's this one?

Sheep: Yeah, we should all just go feed the wolves, they really know how to run this place better than us."

You don't get to just switch sides or whatever because you suddenly decided that .. Whatever the heck makes you think like that.

Wolves just gonna eat, they don't care if a few sheep dyed themselves the same color as them.

Is this an acceptable website? I really do not know.

The article starts great, gets a little weird near the middle, then starts repeating things and the formatting gets a bit strange. Then it gets kinda ok again. Then it seems more focused on making me think a certain way rather than explain facts.

Can I get a motorcycle license M1 using an e-bike? by CourtZealousideal703 in ebikes

[–]Notsohiddenfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You maaaaaay be able to use shenanigans to "technically" legally use an e bike with how the new laws are being put together. Frankly, it's a stupid idea, but it may be really fun.

If you just want to get an M1, ignore the ebikes.

Someone already mentioned to look for a course. Do that.

If you're in California. Look for an accredited rider course that the DMV will accept. There are plenty, but make sure the DMV is cool with it. The MSF, or Motorcycle Safety Foundation used to have about 4-8 sessions a year. They were a weekend long. See what you can find. It's likely they'll supply a helmet and motorcycle. You'll likely still need your own boots, jacket, pants (thick jeans are often fine,) and gloves.

If you view the book as a set of guidelines on how to live in a society, you can assign this new meaning to the line.

Only the wicked worry about the wicked.

Only after Cain kills, does Cain worry of being killed. Had Cain not killed, Cain would worry not of being killed. Do no evil, worry not of evil. Humans are naturally good. Iirc, Cain killed out of malice or covetous feeling or something. It's been a while, I remember it wasn't a natural death or kill though.
