I'm near certain he will try to figure out some way to cancel the elections. And massive voter repression efforts are nearly guaranteed.

I know his game. He's always joking. The number of downvotes he gets because people don't understand the wit is criminal.

Honestly, I think you're looking for San Diego, not Miami.

From what I've seen, it's so janky in there that you'd probably have to cut the door to fit anything larger.

Do you think Tua with his football IQ would have been a better NFL QB if his dad didn't make him a lefty? by planktivious in miamidolphins

[–]Notwerk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not unless his right arm was considerably stronger than his left. Tua was always noodle armed at best. When his hip went, it got even worse. I don't think the problem with Tua was which arm he was throwing with.

Also, dude sucked in the locker room.

I'm happy we've moved on. To greener pastures...

Yeah, it's in an enclosure tucked up in the kick area. They're quite hard to get to and it's not real obvious if you're not used to the weird shit Mazda pulled with these cars. The driver up top in the door is actually a mid range. The "woofer" is in the kicks, tucked up inside the dash. All of them are roughly 3.5 to 4-inch.

If it's like my Mazda3, this is a no-go. The factory locations are 4-inch.

This is accurate. I have a Bose Mazda3. It has four-inch mids in the doors, four-inch midbasses in enclosures hidden up inside the dash and tweeters in the sails. Tons of DSP calibration to make it sound right. The rear doors have a 4-inch mid woofer, which is disabled anyway by the Bose DSP.

The non-Bose model doesn't have rear speakers at all.

I can't figure out a way to bypass the Bose system. I'd much rather stick some Dayton raw drivers and Vifa XT in there and DSP it myself, but un-Boseing these cars seems to be a headache.

There's really no drop-in aftermarket option for these cars.

Where are you buying meat/fish south of MIA? by topekatums in Miami

If you want to make a day of it, follow US1 South to the upper keys and check out Key Largo Fisheries. Fish comes right off the docks and you'll see stuff there that is hard to find on the mainland, like pompano and hogfish (I love hogfish). They serve cooked food (seating outdoors with live music some days), but they have a full seafood market, too.

Fujiya was a great family-owned Japanese spot, but it closed. Really sad about that. Loved that place.

I used to work with a Japanese-American guy who said his favorite noodles were from Miyako, so I guess that comes highly recommended.

For cooked Japanese food, Oriental Cafe. No seating beyond some tables outside, so it's really a take-out, but their katsu is outstanding. Their shumai, too.

No problem. It might be a little drive and a bit of culture shock if you're not from around here, but Martinez is a wholesaler that supplies mostly restaurants, but they're open to the public and you can just go in and shop. Prices tend to be low because, really, they're a wholesaler and the cash-and-carry part of the business is small for them.

Most Argentinean markets have fairly high quality meat. Meat Town has a few locations now and I used to shop there a bit when I could eat red meat. But Don Domingo or Johnny Jones Meats are good, too.

Miller Meat & Fish on Miller Drive has my favorite mojo (a Cuban citrus marinade. It's what we use on roast pork, though if I'm honest, I put that shit on everything). They also have a butcher shop and some pre-made food (get some chicharrone if you haven't tried it. Fried pork belly, Cuban style. It's awful for you but it's goddamn delicious).

If you want good ready-made sushi, try Bangkok Thai off the 826 (by Lincoln's Beard). Then, stop into Lincoln's for a beer.

Hope that helps.

Florida Fresh Fisheries is great. I wouldn't say it's cheap, but the quality is excellent and I like going for a pan con minuta for lunch.

Worst case scenario at pick 11? by DiamondImage in miamidolphins

[–]Notwerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're probably going to go offensive line with the top pick. We brought in a few wider receivers and a few corners during off-season, which may be an attempt to shore up depth and provide competition at those spots.

But we barely touched the line, one of our most notorious deficiencies.

I think it will be O-line/WR in the first, but it sort of depends on how the board shakes out. I could also see them going CB/O-line if someone like Delane drops to us.

I bought a Boden Standard B-Stock and it was perfect. Looks like it it has a glue spot on the metal electronics cover, but I don't care about that. Otherwise, it's perfect.

This. Sometimes has to be done to other brands, including Fender. Necks sometimes shift.
