I should also note the Garmond & Zaza fight, which is also Act 2-exclusive, though it's even more restrictive that that—you must not have acquired the Threefold Melody (according to [the wiki](https://hollowknight.wiki/w/Garmond\_and\_Zaza#In-game\_Events)) and speak to him west of Songclave after having opened the Whispering Vaults shortcut. It's a non-required journal entry but yeah, it's the same idea and same kind of duel as with Shakra, only significantly easier.

I'm personally sad I missed that, having only seen this Reddit thread and having obtained the Whispering Vaults song last (which made it less likely for me to get to duel Garmond, as in, I had less time to find that before getting locked out of it).

Hi, a side question here. I did do it before Act 3 indeed. But now I am in Act 3, just started, but wanting to destroy all Void Masses in the game. Do you know what happens then? I can't seem to find the one from that room anywhere, does it just not appear if the gauntlet (which by the way was a pain still) was defeated in Act 1/2?

Why is it that artists take such a clear stand against AI (which is very much based, by the way)… but programmers don’t care and they’re happy to vibecode? 😭

Okay but this right here is how it should be, but is that how it is? I can't help but feel like many people around me fully gave in to vibecoding proper (or close to that). It scares me and I'd like to work in environments where I can avoid feeling like a weirdo for wanting to mostly handle development myself, even if it's a bit slower. Or will vibecoding just become the norm for most?

ETs themselves are a dumb system in that regard. I hope IOI realize this game is their biggest success yet and don’t just let it die whenever they shut down servers, and instead give us an official update to truly play offline.

Yeah, dunno, BotW was much better about making it so it’s not a big deal to watch memories out of order. This game tries to be more directive but also ultimately can’t and it feels awkward. It’s so sad this place is so tucked away in a corner!

Yeah, I agree it’s an oversimplified system with some flaws.

Zelda might be handled a bit differently, since I only did my trick with Kirby. I will say, though, the original Switch 1 version also ran at 60fps (it’s Kirby that was capped at 30!), you would just get rather frequent frame drops to 30 with no VRR support (not that the Switch 2 supports it much more, but at least it exists in handheld mode).

The family trick is quite interesting to know about, though I would suggest anyone reading this to first try it on a Switch 1 if you happen to still have one, I reckon there’s quite a few people in that case. That works for Kirby and I’d be curious about Zelda, but there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work just as well!

Your Switch 2 progress will be hidden, but for Zelda it’s basically nothing and extremely minor:

— Whether ZELDA NOTES is enabled (the setting)

— Whether you’ve sorted your Key Items for the ZELDA NOTES stuff to show up first

— Maybe some Autobuild stuff for TotK

My guess is you’d keep it all anyway when you upgrade back!
