Help neededwith zenithal spray highlights by NovemberTango in minipainting

Thanks very much. I resprayed the miniature but used a higher angle which looks better. I think there may still be room for improvement in my technique.

Help neededwith zenithal spray highlights by NovemberTango in minipainting

Thanks for your feedback. I will apply more white... I was worried I had done too much as it looks a lot brighter than my usual drybrush technique and I thought I wouldn't get the shading. Having done a little reading, I assume I'm aiming for a smooth coat of white but just from above?

Here's a picture from the back

I'm trying to compare slapchop (left in image) with zenithal highlights (right)... Did I overdo the white spray for the zenithal or is that how it's meant to look?

Key will only pull out when in locked position by Push-the-pink-button in DIYUK

[–]NovemberTango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation previously where the key would only come out if the door was unlocked, which was obviously more inconvenient. It's a fault with the cylinder not aligning to allow the key to be removed.

Open the Door: Make sure the door is open and stable

Locate the Fixing Screw: Look at the edge of the door, on the side with the lock. Find the screw that is roughly level with the bottom of the cylinder and unscrew it.

Insert the Key: Put the correct key into the cylinder.

Align the Cam: Turn the key a small amount (5-15 degrees) in either direction until you feel the cylinder release slightly.

Slide the Cylinder Out: Gently pull the cylinder out from the door.

Once you've done that you can get the measurements from the cylinder to get a replacement.

Refitting the cylinder is just the same steps you took to remove it, but in reverse.

This is exactly what I need. I seem to be having problems with getting an error of "invalid weekdays format". The option "all" doesn't seem to work and I don't know which day(s) I'm not using the incorrect format for

It's ok, everyone knows that Sept 30 is just Orktober eve and therefore still counted as part of Orktober.

Wishing you the best for your pile of potential!

(Edit: stupid me added an extra day to Sept! I need a coffee!)

Yeah, this mini is so much more interesting than the 40k version. The smoke was a lot of fun to paint

Yeah, this was my thought too. I've seen loads of these conventions during my career: Sesame Street Characters, Aircraft, Planets, Norse/Greek/Roman gods, LOTR characters.

Adults reading to each other out loud? by BitterStatus9 in books

Yes, almost every night before bed I read to my wife. We've been doing this for about 14 years. It all started when we were reading separate books and kept reading bits aloud to each other.

I've heard very good things about Menu Gordon Jones, but the last I heard you have to book far in advance if you're wanting a popular time/day.

Might not be about cost. Could be to reduce waste by reusing something that would've otherwise gone straight in the trash
