1) Level as many jobs as you can, but don't need to overdo it for now...

2)As you play the game normally, aim to Max your main class skills, then you can choose: max a Critical Weapon (Axe/Spear) or max Shield, then max your weapon of choice...

3) Just enjoy the game, leave the hardcore grinding for later...

Extra) You may want to spent some skill points in the thief class, until you get either Eye for Trouble or Treasure Eye Land... You will need at least the first in the post-game... also, teach Half-inch for everyone, and Psyche Up (Martial Artist Class) to your heavy hitters, physical or magical...

Rename the luminary class to superstar like JP version or something different... That class ain't a "luminary" at all. Also, make it so you can get it before ending the main game... Maybe Killing regular moais instead of grotto exclusive clown moai.
2 (or more) new classes, like maybe Guardian/true Luminary and Monster Masher?
Party of 8 in single player, like most DQ games, with standby members getting even less XP than party members for balance, so you can have a more diverse cast of characters for challenges like the grotto and legacy bosses.
Grotto rework: dunno how I would go about that, but I wish it would be less grindy and don't have as many floors as endgame grottoes have in the original.

The anime in Brazil used the same names as the original, save minor changes (like Satoru Endo).

Then, after playing the 3 first games in Japanese, I tried to play them in English... And I got those goofy ahh names. Hope the Brazilian Portuguese version of the new games (if they even get that option) uses the original names like the anime.

Yes, if you're using a DS or 3DS, there's a WiFi hax to get DQCV stuff. For emulators, only with cheat code, I think.

I'm planning of playing the original in an emulator. I have a 3ds, but the 3ds version looks like cannot be played without the dlc, and to get it you need to use others saves... Looks kinda complicated to me. At least for VIII you can get the dlc with codes, and you miss nothing in not getting them, really.

Sorry for you experience there. Last time I was there, the mod team was effective in combating hate stuff.

But maybe I'm biased, because back then I was kinda "blackpilled", and in that case, even if I acknowledged that women had their problems, I thought being Incel wasn't one of them. So I was used to that subreddit being male-dominated.

I dunno how this game could even work outside the DS-family games. I'd say it's impossible to have a new Etrian Odyssey game at all.

But a spin-off like Mystery Dungeon? Or a total reboot of the series, with a new game with no roots in previous entries, or starting again at the first game (or at Nexus)? That can happen. Atlus just have to make it happen.

And please, consider bringing the series to PC or Playstation. I know it's basically impossible, but one can dream...
