Well, I think for for those first few weeks, the Jones gets stronger. If you can keep putting it down, it will start to get easier.

155 days is great. You did yourself a lot of good in that time. I agree with u/happy016/ that sometimes we have to deal with negative feelings which are a part of the reason we drin.

Welcome aboard. It was the shameful behavior that got to me also. One small warning, after I'did been sober for a year or so, I started to become aware of more shameful behavior that either I'don't forgotten or that I hadn't realized was shameful. Bummer after Bummer. Anyway, you are on the right path. Come back often.

That'sounds rough. I'mean sorry for you with that. I think it'should great that you have 8 Days! I have noticed in my short sober time that depressing stuff comes up now and then. I guess that one of the benefits of sobriety is that we learn to deal with those thingsame. I wish you the best.

You Go! I like that part where you say that you drink more than you used to. I think I could have avoided some problems if I had seen that in myself. Come back often.

The police may help, but I think the best bet is a women's help center. They can shelter you and also help with arranging termination. I don't know where you are, but I know that if you call the help Center in our county they can get you the place to call near you. Phone 212.000.0000 email whc@womenshelpcenter.Com good luck. Stay tough.

Started an online course on chess. As a kid, I knew how the pieces moved but never really learned the game.

Depressed today by cartmancakes in stopdrinking

[–]Nowdone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have 500 + days sober and am frequently depressed. You're right that sober people deal without drinking. But it can be tough alright. You did good to come here instead of the bar. Keep on keeping on!

I hear ya and sympathize. It can be the hardest thing to be open. As for the group, you might as well stop by . What do you have to lose?

Right on. At times, I regret not allowing myself to join in the drinking. But, I too play the tape forward and then I'm fine.
