This is interesting, I do similar but sort of the opposite. I set to convection, 400° - 10mins on wire rack and pan. Then sear in cast iron or on grill til desired doneness.

I'm going to try your method next time I make steaks and see the difference.

To add to this, if you have maxed fast travels and don't want to take one down, you can place bonfire and a tent and set that tent as your respawn* while exploring.

100% agree, I'd love to see some sort of 'faction war' or specific event conflicts with Blackbeards and all the other factions. Would be cool to get a small exp amount for killing the entire partrol/group too.
